4 drivers tested all hang. conclution? f*** up card i got doh.gif hope can 1to1 coz this is like doa already.

1. clean install your driver
2. don't run any other program that monitor/manage your gpu voltage (gpu-z, everest, afterburner). if you have to, just have only one program running (CCC only)
3. if all else fail, RMA the card. should get a 1 to 1 exchange

thank fo ya all feedback manage to return the card today for 1to1. but not the same i change to asus 6850 direct cu

guys need to know what Vreg temperature of hd6850.?
mine showing 29 c ...is it really low or there is bug on gpuz 0.4.9

using msi hd6850here

Wow. hmm.gif. That's a pretty low idling temperature. Usually the HD6850 idles over 40C.

I don't think it is a bug, however, have you tried checking the temperature with different softwares?

You can download HWMonitor to check smile.gif. Otherwise, get MSI Afterburner to have a look at the temperatures.

mine not on aircon room ..but it used non reference msi cooler
gpu temp 1 2 3 are all slightly high compared to Kaellis
which around 50c fan speed at 50 % <--normal fan speed for this msi

i wonder if my 5870 is quite cool on idle.. 30% fan speed at 42c non air cond room

ps: reference cooler

eathen my Sapphire HD5770 is at 45 while 40%

I am now more baffled then before. My rig ran both 8800gt n 240 flawlesly BUT bsod on 2 6850s from asus n saphire.

i went back n ran both card on the shop pc. both ran ever so smoothly!! i was like wtf!?

btw guys what is the best deal. i think imma going to built a spanking new rig

5850 rm700
saph toxic 6850 rm655
assus dcu 6850 rm700

within few days i get to change the card. lol
