. Just get another power supply for now to test. A 450W power supply should be sufficient ( 450W as its true power, not the powerlogic power supplies where it states 450W but in reality only produces 230W of power ).
i will try to get one tomorow

i believe that your psu is ok for what u have
but it depends on the power available on the 12v rails and which ones power the CPU and gfx.
did u try second pcie connector ?
or if u have ..molex to pcie connector to try it

ehhh!? using the molex to pcie i havent try bcoz its a no brainer as my psu got dedicated 6pin
i will try it nao!

somehow i suspect that intel motherboard is the culprit
if it can support 8800gt sli, it should be fine supporting single card
the intel mobo now is not a sli mobo

the sli era was ended ages ago when my sli mobo i think asus, went kaput n i sold the other 8800gt
