in mean time, i click individual dl ccc only 79.7 mb (11-5_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_ccc.exe) if i use this to install sure no problem but the driver version still showing previous version after restart!
guess what, if wanna install correct driver.. the size of the setup must higher than this 1.. like around 85.4 mb.. got another method i will success is dl 1.1mb then using my laptop to direct dl the setup but i can't on9 at home.. so i wanna find direct setup files.. each times i go to amd official website.. they either 11-5_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl (this 1 for desktop if no mistake) or 11-5_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_ccc.exe (maybe for 32 bit but not for 64 bit) bro.. can help me?

this should be the exact driver that suitable for it but i can't find this at official website.. other non-official website depend! but is safer to dl at amd.com!

oh no! i dont recommend to format to WinXP. The Switchable graphic will stop working! Future Catalyst driver may no longer support XP as well.

If you want to use WinXP, i recommend you to try use VMWare Player, it's free. You can install WinXP into VMWare, and you can have both OS running together.

If you install the new catalyst, but still get only old driver do this:

1. Remove ATI Package manager and all ATI component
2. Reboot into safe mode, use Driver Sweeper clean all ATI file
3. Install new Catalyst

So, what driver you are using now? Show me your software info.

will remove spyware o trojan (virus ur laptop can't on) if u format all ur drive.. if u just format C to me is like no use.. got either D or E maybe infected.. i never partition.. i keep 250 GB unused!

so this is what ur doing.. outside ur flaming dell and trying to bring dell's image down, here u're trying hard to fix ur dell. if u actually hated dell that much u'd have sold ur dell a long time ago already.

11-5_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_ccc.exe is for 32-bit & 64-bit OS.

The alternative download link is from AMD official website & the EXE size is bigger:-

akamai.net is one of the ATI/AMD's server. Just need to change the bold-ed one to which version you want to download, e.g. 11-3 if wanna download Catalyst 11.3 & 32 if you wanna download the 32-bit driver for 32-bit OS:-

Planning to format in a few days. Last time i format this laptop things didn't go so well despite getting all the drivers from a reputable website.

Main issues i got was

1. Problem when switching the GPU. The screen go black for a while like normal and there are black lines on the screen after the GPU changed.

2. Sound. Have to click the sound icon beside the clock to get "real" sound.

3. Battery life. Despite using the Intel GPU i only get ~2 hours max instead of 7 using this factory pre-installed W7.

So i got quite pissed and restored the pre-installed W7 now.

So, any specific site should i use to get the correct drivers i need and advice for me so i dont fail again?

Kept getting errors at installing... CCC wont work as long as i turn on switchable mode ..

edit : I got it working ,

Heres how :

1. Downloaded the Alien9 Hybrid 11.3 drivers .
2. Downloaded the latest 11.5 drivers.
3. placed the 11.5 into the 11.3 folder , overwriting everything it asks
4. Run install.cmd

Apparently after 6 months performance wise it's getting much laggier in game despite of daily virus scanning/defragging/uninstall crap
