I see...  does this mean that when the time come and hubby need to accompany, he wont have a comfy couch to bunk over? OMG...
This gonna be hard then... and does the alley to go to the ward looks scary.. you know i  always have this imagination of spooky alley everytime i visited a hospital... i dont want to be left alone when the time comes... im such a coward... scared of ghost...  laugh.gif

and does this mean that columbia setapak is lack of single room? meaning we have to share? and does the husband allow to sleep over if we share the room with other mommies to be also? OMG.. now i'm curious and suddenl y i have alot of questiion to ask! doh.gif

I only managed to see one room cause the rest were occupied. The one I happen to have luck to see had a couch, but it's not comfy/wide enough to cater to a sleeping man. I think they have 3-5 single rooms for maternity use. Got double and 4 person room also. Maybe if you insist hard enough they might bring in an extra bed for extra charges. The double room I think really no comfy place for husband to bunk. The hallway like normal hospital lor... I assume it would be quiet at night but don't think it's that scary lar, it's a new hospital after all.

Go to Putrajaya hospital and get the FPP plan. The room is private room and the sleeping chair is excellent. You have your own fridge, TV, water dispenser, toilet and everything you need inside your own room. Even have couch for visitors in the room. Overall you only pay about RM2800 for Csec.

columbia asia setapak

natural delivery, 2 days single bed room RM3K.

baby 1 day ICU, 4 days nursery, RM3.5K.

service is very good, but they did not practice to inform there is charges if use their equipments. eg: breast pump, diapers, etc.
when my baby need x-ray and medicine, i signed and gave approval but they never talk to me about the fee too.

what if later no money pay haha hmm.gif

selayang hospital also provide the FPP plan. I went there and checkup their plans. previously all my checkups were done in columbia asia setapak.
apparently selayang hospital turned me down as according to them i need to register and book the room when im still in my 4 months of pregnancy. im now in my last trimester. so looks like i have to stick to columbia ( doc will c-sect me) or gov hospital ( have slight chances to deliver normally)

You can try for Hospital Selayang Full Paying Patient (FPP) since its near your place. So far its quite good IMO. Their fees is fixed either C-sect or normal, won't be charged normal+Csect, even if try for normal but end up c-Sect.
Standard checkup fees of RM60 applied even if there's procedure involves unlike private which charged procedure separately. Medicine will be charged separately though.
I was told you have the option open till very last min either to opt for Gov or FPP on delivery day even though you went for FPP checkup since the doctors basically is the same ones for Gov. The difference is if u opt got Gov, trainees will delivers the baby with the exception Csect, which you cannot opt for it (doc have to decide for you) unless you are FPP then the decision whether normal/csect is yours.

*Take note that for down syndrome test, you'll have to do it outside. Its not available in FPP Selayang.

which hosp that ur fren is going? govt or private? cos mostly that i heard is if u deliver at govt and its 3rd c-sect then doc will ask lor.. but if private doc will advise can hv 4th or 5th c-sect.. but i guess is depends on individual like u said ur fren's skin is quite thick so still can go for another one.. tongue.gif tongue.gif
