My wife had a undergo an emergency C sec in the middle of the night at Pantai Bangsar cuz baby was in distress. We were under Dr Raman and Dr Uma. Full OP. Wife was in hospital (single room) for 5 days. Bill came up to RM16K. I was expecting it to be 20+K. Baby had to be in NICU for 2 weeks which cost us another 28K which again was below our expectation for the level of care that was given. Overall Pantai did an excellent job. Very professional and good.

Hey bro glad everything turned out all right!
That is what i love about Pantai, the peace of mind that it gives
Mine was
Datin Dr Kamaljit - O&G
Dr Umad - Paed
Dr Cindy - GA

By anychance your baby was born on the date of 28th of August? Asking because we were supposed to have an appointment with Dr Uma but was told she had an emergency to rush too and we were praying for the baby's and mommy's safety..

In the end our paed is at Bangsar Nadi, Dr Wai because the wait time for Dr Uma was like an hour or so, we try our best to minimize exposure with the newborn..

Have a wonderful time being a dad!

Recent experience, emergency C-section with 3 nights stay came up to 12.2k at SunMed under Dr. Janani. Baby stayed longer, 5 nights with a total of 5.5k.

Baby born eve of CNY so had some weekend, overnight & PH rates.

Both are okay, you can choose whichever is nearby to your home is better.

Please do appointment as soon as possible at klinik kesihatan KKM to open buku pink. If you want to go hospital, I suggest that you consult with O&G for appointment. IMO klinik kesihatan ibu dan anak has already have O&G specialist there to check on your wife and baby. And she will have several monthly checkups at klinik kesihatan and recorded inside her buku pink. If you want to go private clinic or hospital, they can accept buku pink to record all the checkup records.

if you intend to do check up and deliver at government, then u can open the pink book at KK. Otherwise you can do all the follow up in private. You may want to engage a specific doctor in a private hospital.

For my case, i do check up and deliver in KK and HKL. So i open the book when i'm 8mths pregnancy at nearest KK.

For my sis case, she memang initially wan to deliver in private so the government clinic say not necessary to open book both place. in case emergency require to go government, can bring the book that open in private.

But i saw some case got people open both place. it's subject to you.

Wish your wifey smooth pregnancy and good luck in your future parenting journey biggrin.gif
