C-Zer at Columbia Asia, Bukit Rimau / Shah Alam (next to Kota Kemuning) cost RM 8000-8500 - including GST package include checking on newborn after birth (usually cost additional 1k in private hospital)

Hi All, I have a 10mm polyp in my gallbladder which cause me pain constantly. I am actually planning for my first pregnancy. Is there any gynae or surgeon recommendation so I can get advice to see if I should remove it before planning for pregnancy or after my pregnancy? My family is afraid there is any complication during the surgery which cost me unable to conceive later.

Hello mommies, I've emailed some popular private hospitals on the pricings and compiled their replies to me here: http://thealmosthousewife.com/2015/05/08/h...-malaysia-2015/

Experience with UMMC.

Docs and staffs are good and gentle (can't recall their names). Very supportive during labour. Went in for normal delivery but ended up with emergency CSEC. Stayed in ward for total 3 nights (shared room with 3 others).

The best part is, total cost is only RM950.

I recall seeing a notice showing the amount for non-Malaysians which are priced higher, but generally still cheaper than private hospitals.

Went to UMMC when water broke even though never visited there before. Whole pregnancy had check-ups at both gov clinic and private hospital so I am not so sure if this is a pre-requisite to be allowed to deliver there (I doubt so because hospitals are meant to accept all patients). You should make a trip to UMMC (or call them) to find out the answers to your other questions as I do not have experience in those, and maybe post your findings for sharing here smile.gif

I think I can share on this... My wife went to UMSC (UMMC shared OT with UMSC). Husband are allowed into labour room for normal delivery but not allowed into OT incase you need C-Sect.

For my case, no. Apparently, the nurse said we need to inform well in advance for them to make arrangement.

Rough price will be > 8000 from enter the main door to exit the main door.
While in GH, maximum rm2000 unless you are staying there for > 1 month in 1st class.

my wife EDD is only July, but we haven't decide where to deliver, our gynaes deliver hospital is Pantai Cheras, but i plan to send her to the government hospital at Putrajaya, is there anyone could share their experience at government hospital or you would suggest i go for private hospital? this is our first time baby..

actually my wife wanted private hospital but she worried about the charges, so end up she decided to go government hospital and the balance that we saved can use for the confinement period.

is this a wise decision?

TIA..
