Experience with UMMC.

Docs and staffs are good and gentle (can't recall their names). Very supportive during labour. Went in for normal delivery but ended up with emergency CSEC. Stayed in ward for total 3 nights (shared room with 3 others).

The best part is, total cost is only RM950.

my wife EDD is only July, but we haven't decide where to deliver, our gynaes deliver hospital is Pantai Cheras, but i plan to send her to the government hospital at Putrajaya, is there anyone could share their experience at government hospital or you would suggest i go for private hospital? this is our first time baby..

actually my wife wanted private hospital but she worried about the charges, so end up she decided to go government hospital and the balance that we saved can use for the confinement period.

is this a wise decision?

TIA..

I wanted to do the same too..went to putrajaya to look at the rates..it's definitely cheaper than private but they don't allow booking and they are always out of bed. They told me if they're full they will transfer to other gov hospital.

How can I find out if FPP is available? Did you email or call? Or visited in person?
Thank you!

I called them wanted to make a booking but they said they are full until August. They asked me to call hospital selayang to try.

I just came back from hospital putrajaya. Their FPP restarts again today. So u can go over to see the gynae... No problem. When I called them yesterday to confirm my appt, the staff told me FPP was on hold. Lucky I still went over and they registered me as a FPP patient. But really long wait though. wink.gif

You have registered before this or you just registered today?

I'm due in July. Actually I called to make appt sometime in end Feb or beginning March. They initially gave me appt date on 25th Apr. Then last min called me and say change to 21st May. I was worried they will reschedule my appt again so decided to call up yest to confirm my appt. that was when I knew about the FPP being on hold. Apparently, there was a notice at their registration side that stated FPP was on hold since 13th April.

From what I know.. The mummies who experienced FPP before, u have to call to make appt before going over for registration. They don't layan walk-in now due to too many patients. Why don't u call them again and try to make another appt? Maybe they will have a slot for u. I think they do have patients that don't turn up last minute one. smile.gif

Oh icic...will call them tmr. Thanks a lot Grace smile.gif

Hi Jessc111,
Did you manage to speak to Putrajaya Hospital about FPP?
Coz I wrote email to them and they replied saying it's FULL for July/August.
Not sure if they open back to those who already had previous appts only before they "put on hold".
*
Yes I did. They told me it's FULL as well. So I decided to change to a private hosp instead.

Im so sorry that i have a query which is a bit irrelevant to the topic but I'm in dilemma.

How painful it is if without epidural? I'm still considering should I take epidural during that time?
*
Perhaps you can check out this FB group about gentle birthing & hypnobirthing - https://www.facebook.com/groups/mygentlebirth/
Most mommies who went for these classes experience very little or no pain at all during birthing. They also shared their birth stories thr..no scary shouting stories and u will be surprised smile.gif

How do you guys think for Dr. Chuah in Tong sin? We aim for natural birth. Or Dr. Tan Ee Ping from seri kembangan?
*
I see Dr. Tan now for my check ups, 36wks+ now. Heard a lot of good feedback abt her and her delivery charges are quite reasonable, that's y I decided to switch to see her even though I need to travel at least 40mins to see her and the waiting time takes at least 130hrs. She's a pro-natural doc n supports Hypnobirthing. Took time to explain every single detail with u and to look at ur birth plan. I already got her delivery charges rate. Pm me if u want
