One more advise, you need to mentally prepared as well. As you know, pregnant lady is quite moody 1. Imagine every night, your husband is not sleeping next to you then you will feel lonely.

My wife cried every time after I visited her daily somemore... sweat.gif

Sigh!! Start emo after read your reply sad.gif
Anyhow, thanks for your reply and hope I'll be tough to go thru this two weeks flex.gif

hi, im new to pregnancy expecting due in october. currently am not sure what i should do, we are planning to go to pantai hospital ipoh/ kpj hospital ipoh but for the DR. we havent find as we dont know yet cause its my 1st baby. can anyone guide me on this?
*
same thing that all the parents would do is - go visit the hospital that you preferred and make an appointment with the doc. from there normally they will schedule the next appointment etc. my wife and i did went to few hospitals and KPJ is one of it. per visit it will cost you somewhere around 200++ together with the scanning and vitamins. but in the end, we opt for Columbia Asia since it is the nearest to our home.

you can also do some research by googling the recommended O&G in your area. if you're not specific with the gender of the doc, it will be easier on your behalf. anyways, happy researching & congrats! my wife is due in July

We always went to GH and KK and it only cost us rm5 each visit(petrol) and each visit only took us 3 hours. And during delivery, with c-sec and first class bed only cost me rm1600 with another rm100 I bought cakes and drinks for the nurses. Case handled by Malaysia's best O&G specialist, Dr. Krishna Kumar. No infection and the cut cannot be seen already.

Is really not a necessity to go private hospital. Is just another choice. Government hospital is good as any private hospital. My wife delivernin putrajaya hospital and stay in single room. Is twins baby. I really like the nurse and service. Had been to Columbia before went to government hospital, I have to say government hospital so much better and very very cheap

this is not about choosing panel over wife and baby health. i never mentioned anything about GH, let alone saying anything bad about delivering in GH.

out of sudden, you choose to reply me with your GH experienced, you have problem for me not going to GH? your money, your choice la brother. even if you choose to deliver in your house, its not my problem.

as i mentioned, i go to private hospital coz its nearer, MUSLIM lady doc & its just to happened, its our panel hospital. i still cant brain why out of the sudden u wanna bring up the issue of me choosing private over GH? and yes, my wife, my baby, my money, my problem.

thanks anyway rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Basically, we were visiting private hospital all the time until something happens.
The doctor in private hospital never tell us the problem, keep on saying ok but my wife's BP were 170/110 at that time.

It seems there are good feedback on government hospital especially GH and putrajaya. But not HUKM althought they said is semi-gov. The cut still very obvious at my wife stomach. doh.gif
Next round will try at putrajaya icon_idea.gif

It shall be 100% owned by government then only can say providing good service. Semi or 100% private will not give good service.

Not really, in KK or GH, once high BP detected, will straight away catch you.

I'm not sure if you are more concern cost or doctor.
KPJ Hospital Ipoh - most expensive in Ipoh, natural delivery cost RM2K++, c-sec cost RM4K++, Dr Diva is one of the very famous gynae in Ipoh, famous with his patient and professional, many good reviews from friends

PCSH Ipoh - natural delivey package 3 days 2 night RM1888, Dr Chen

Kinta Hospital Ipoh - natural delivery package 2 days 1 night < RM1K, both gynae there, Dr Anand and Dr Yip is very famous too

Very seldom to have female gynae in Ipoh. But there's a few in KPJ Ipoh. You may check their website.
Dr Lu Luan from KPJ Ipoh is one of the famous gynae, but heard that she's on long holiday, maybe you can visit the hospital and check it out. Most famous gynae in KPJ still is Dr Diva but he's a male gynae..

ps: KPJ Ipoh is a breastfeeding friendly hospital, I attend their free breastfeeding seminar.. quite good and informative. My friends who delivered there, comment that the nurses are very helpful to help you to breastfeed your newborn.

When you visit KPJ, maybe you can "interview" some nurses, which doctor is better smile.gif
