i seee...btw, i seldom use my flash also...most of the time i do outdoor shooting with my prime..so vry sufficient lighting..

thx too...i still learning how to bring out the best of my pictures using that F42...it is very powerful..hard to use..

I sometime uses flash even in the outdoor.. as fill flash and eliminates shadows that falls on the subject's face. But i usually pair it with bounce card.

yesterday tried A580 in KLCC there, hmm... not sure my setting or whatever. when i took the picture, it tend to lag for 2 sec only can show a pictures, then take another 2 sec only can take another photos...

and the photos when i zoom, it look very noisy even in ISO 200.

while, A55 better with the same setting.

both camera i tried Auto and Manual mode.

is it possible the Demo A580 id engineering prototype or noto the latest firmware?...

it felt like the NEX juz got release, performance also far from accepted.... but now, after trying my bro`s Nex5, its fantastic...~~~

A55 too small for me, which hard to use the dial. while A580 is perfect fit to me.....

Anyhow, i was going to get either this 2 cemeras, end of the month or 1st week of next month...

evanttc: Just to be sure, always get them to insert a memory card - without a memory card, the performance varies greatly. I didn't feel the lag. Was DRO on with the A580? It could be that causing the noise.

As far as I know, Sony Style outlets do not get engineering prototypes. You can inspect the serial number at the bottom. The A580 I tried had a firmware of version 1.11.

good news for video ... some body really take effort to hack the A55 xD ...

I saw from the web http://scarletwhore.com/ he seems to hacking for 24p and 60p on 720p ...

but still hopefully Sony can give full manual control ...

evanttc, maybe too slow shutter... hence that lag.

when you know how to use F42 is powerful, then is time go F58 cobra

i am thinking to get wide angle lens, in my mind, there is sony 11-18, tamron 10-24..which one got better iq??? and more worth of money? i check the price like not much different or got any other recommendation with cheaper price tag??

I prefer Tamron 10-24 F3.5-F4.5 because of its range and aperture ...

but second hand Sony 11-18 F4.5~F5.6 is cheaper through but you get very dark aperture :{ (but still useful at outdoor)

if i were u id get the tamron la.. coz as it has been said, the range and aperture is better... but i think its abit more expensive, no?
