ahpingko: fisheye is a very personal thing... 5 out of 10 ppl love fisheye, while other 5 show no interest... so it depends on u. to me, 8mm is really really really really wide, near 180degree from where u stand... so u get all sort of "rubbish" goes into ur photo. not easy to use, but if u like fisheye, trust me, u will be enjoying it A LOT, rubbish also become pretty flower hahahaha!

this tamrom 70300 USD VC is like SAL70300G(maybe not optically G) and half the price. USD is just another marketing term of SSM, SWM, HSM...(USD is not slow motor like SAM or some AF-S) also, this is the first USD lens, it could be a test rat... before they really port it into 70200F2.8.... w000ttt!
Added on October 21, 2010, 12:30 pm QUOTE(albnok @ Oct 21 2010, 10:37 AM) ieR: Unfortunately I won't be able to test them in daylight, if you know what I mean - Sony Style outlets are not within line of sight of daylight. but i afraid some "noob" will start referring the Nex adapter SAM/SSM CDAF as terrible... because it might be good in daylight That said it is a better challenge for the lenses/bodies. actually, i am still... wondering, sony has OLED tech for quite sometime now... they can easily make Translucent display over pentaprism(having EVF like effect, face detection, wording over OVF), and of coz, losing the AF ability on video...
sony could easily make a full video capability A77 and a OVF version of A7xx (like A580) with OLED overhead display. |

ahpingko: let me share my experience with DIY (excately like ur design)... the black cardboard area that cover the flashhead.... it will eventually overheat the flash head (unlike batt overheat, just swap new batt, u are good to go, head overheat requires 10 minute cooldown~)... try cut off more cardboard until the Velcro area..
