there is however, a SIGMA 8-16mm HSM UWA, which i not sure available for A mount YET or not, coz its a fairly new lens(PMA2010, mean last month announced). but my guess, the price can let u buy 3 unit of samyang 8mmfisheye

ahpingko: fisheye is a very personal thing... 5 out of 10 ppl love fisheye, while other 5 show no interest... so it depends on u. to me, 8mm is really really really really wide, near 180degree from where u stand... so u get all sort of "rubbish" goes into ur photo. not easy to use, but if u like fisheye, trust me, u will be enjoying it A LOT, rubbish also become pretty flower hahahaha!

8mm samyang also curve front element, cant use filter. smile.gif but dont worry, the hood is fairly out, so it can protect knocks before reaching the element wink.gif

albnol: next mission is to test them outdoor with daylight, it could pretty much be a giant differences in indoor available light.

offtopic a bit: since some of u frequents tech mall, i wan to know the price for a decent (non branded) HDMI>HDMI cable for around 3 meter (10feet), i rearrange my desk today found out my HDMI too short. and anyone know the price for 10feet HDMI>mini HDMI price?(wanna get one for A550/700/850 uses) and where i can get them?(those who recent survey or brought them, kindly PM me to prevent further offtopic.)

this tamrom 70300 USD VC is like SAL70300G(maybe not optically G) and half the price. USD is just another marketing term of SSM, SWM, HSM...(USD is not slow motor like SAM or some AF-S) also, this is the first USD lens, it could be a test rat... before they really port it into 70200F2.8.... w000ttt!

ieR: Unfortunately I won't be able to test them in daylight, if you know what I mean - Sony Style outlets are not within line of sight of daylight. sad.gif

That said it is a better challenge for the lenses/bodies.
*
but i afraid some "noob" will start referring the Nex adapter SAM/SSM CDAF as terrible... because it might be good in daylight tongue.gif u'd know, a lot ppl love to get misunderstood. hehehehe.. see maybe TT might bring out some of the lenses to test? do TT la tongue.gif

75-300 can take good macro shots?
*
it can do a good close up, but not macro. although, a proper macro lens would be recommended, as 300mm tend to affected by shake a lot, unless u on tripod.

actually, i am still... wondering, sony has OLED tech for quite sometime now... they can easily make Translucent display over pentaprism(having EVF like effect, face detection, wording over OVF), and of coz, losing the AF ability on video...

sony could easily make a full video capability A77 and a OVF version of A7xx (like A580) with OLED overhead display.

ahpingko: let me share my experience with DIY (excately like ur design)... the black cardboard area that cover the flashhead.... it will eventually overheat the flash head (unlike batt overheat, just swap new batt, u are good to go, head overheat requires 10 minute cooldown~)... try cut off more cardboard until the Velcro area..
