How much 2nd hand and repair?? How much for tamron and other lens like 18-105 or 18-200?? Sry noob here
*
you can consider sigma 18-50 f2.8-5.6 OS HSM
though not f2.8 throughout the rangem but at least has f2.8 at wide
the interesting feature would be the HSM, which should be helpful when recording video as it is definitely not as loud as SAMs

price is around 1.1k

thanks. smile.gif another question to you sir, how did you record the videos? for a55. through the EVF or using live view?

or maybe the question can be asked this way. do you tend to record videos for EVF more or live view? hope i made sense laugh.gif

if you've seen albnok's videos, even SAM lens are very quiet on the a55!! i'd add rm200 for the tamron 17-50 though. wink.gif

evilhomura89: Thanks!

No I have another job, which was also a hobby in school. Have to say though, you lose some of the fun of a hobby once you turn it into a job.

Go check out the http://www.dyxum.com/ forums - you will see that everybody talks on this level. Far more geeks there!

8tvt: Yes, the A580 contrast-detect AF only works in Focus Check Live View, not video. Phase-detect AF works in Quick AF Live View and Focus Check Live View.

zstan: I recorded the videos for shorter, lighter lenses using the LCD, and longer lenses used the EVF (to gain stability and balance.)

However it is better to record using the LCD, with the LCD flipped out, to allow heat to escape through the back of the camera, where the sensor is.

Translucent mirror with OVF is very much possible - just up to Sony how they want to do it. wink.gif

vcvx: Keep the 10-20mm and 55-200mm for video lah. smile.gif

actually, i am still... wondering, sony has OLED tech for quite sometime now... they can easily make Translucent display over pentaprism(having EVF like effect, face detection, wording over OVF), and of coz, losing the AF ability on video...

sony could easily make a full video capability A77 and a OVF version of A7xx (like A580) with OLED overhead display.

ahpingko: let me share my experience with DIY (excately like ur design)... the black cardboard area that cover the flashhead.... it will eventually overheat the flash head (unlike batt overheat, just swap new batt, u are good to go, head overheat requires 10 minute cooldown~)... try cut off more cardboard until the Velcro area..
