am3 user oc is just increase multiplier? or require increase NB clocks to make it more stable?
usualy need to run Prime 95 for how long?

no..fast oc is by multi..no hassle..
and only few am3 have unlocked multi.. mine, dont have..so have to do the hard way

prime..
20mins @ 1min for each FFT : just not that stable..but will survive most task
1hr @ 1min for each FFT : consider stable
3hrs @ 3mins for each FFT : absolute stable

psst..this is my reference.. some ppl prime up to 12hrs.. and some just run SuperPi32M for stability..

Increase multiplier is easier because you only oc your cpu and bump cpu VID. NB clokc 2.4 or 2.6GHz is recommended, it may increase performance.
but you have to bump the CPU-NB VID voltage abit. .25 or .5v something to make your pc stable.
non-BE proc is harder because you only can raise HTT clocks.

Prime as long as your want 1 or 2 hours and you are good to go.
if your are paranoid about the stabilty of your system. run prime overnight lo, but make sure your pc ventilation is good and temp is at acceptable range, else your pc will kaput after you wake up at next morning

ok. tomorrow will try on 3.8GHz and 2600-2800MHz NB.
what the max temperature processor can tahan?

just keep it low not more than 60c on load if priming..

Ninja 3 good at load time which is priming...six core run at 4Ghz load is 57 max or could be lower...

there is no way 2.8ghz IMC can stable @ 1.1vIMC

ok..a brief explaination
there are 2 types of vcore
1- cpu controlled
2- mobo controlled

1 = cpu itself ask how much vcore it needed.. non BE max @ 1.35v and BE max @ 1.55v.

2 = mobo determine how much vcore need to give to CPU.. max depends on mobo..can up to 1.8vcore.. some mobo make it as increment eg +0.01v , -0.01v
got also mobo that use actual volt like 1.35, 1.25.

vcore = 1 + 2( if 2 is increment type) or 2 (if 2 is actual type)

AOD displays the 1.
same goes to vIMC.
so that means that 1.1 is not the actual vIMC..

sidenote : CPU-NB = IMC.. just not to confuse ppl with mobo NB.

i read those tutorial. many say 955 can oc to 3.8GHz. if 4.0 will hot and crash. any1 have try oc to 4.0?

for daily use 3.6ghz also enough la...
