yo bro.. im wondering why an x6 at ddr2000 still needs around 20m for superpi?? why i seen some x4 can reach 17??
if single threaded application then why intel seems much better??
is there any other reason for amd being slow in superpi??

btw.. im quite satisfied wit ur silver arrow biggrin.gif

to answer ya q bro:

1. d clocks were never meant for showin how fast/slow d result is, it's more like proovin d ram frequency is "kinda" stable w/ d voltage used. 2100 @ 9-10-9 w/ < 1.7v is same how ok to me. should have post p95 blend test, i'll work on that for sure. smile.gif

2. it's a fact that intel doin superbly well in spi, something which me (as an amd fans) would try not to recall. tongue.gif

3. can i safely say it's architecture diff which made amd inferior to intel in term of figures? unsure.gif

bro, d thing i notice is when it comes to lower freq + tighter timing, deneb/propus seemed to have upper hand than thuban, i could be wrong but w/ an unlockable rana, i managed a 1900 @ 7-8-7 (well, voltage wasn't that nice thou), but w/ thuban, it wasn't doable. smile.gif

d winova sticks like trfc @ 160ns, other than that, it seems to be favor x-(x+1)-x setup for main timing. hmm.gif

i din notice that.. kekek..cuz i havent clock this ram on deneb/propus/regor

just compare the stick can do 2k 7-8-7 stable on intel.. i hope it can atleast do 7-8-7 1800mhz on amd
but somehow not bootable.sad case

btw just notice ur ss is 2100mhz.. i tot 2k..good job there.

yeah..sure.. u can do that..but limit ur oc.

and btw what proc is that? if phenom x4.better dont..if athlon u have chance.

automatic oc profile is where the software oc itself (correct me if im wrong)
most of the time it will pour excess vcore which will only makes processor hotter but the speed increase is not that much..

try to learn and oc urself..its fun

im using phenom II x2 560 and now successfully unlock to phenom II x4 B60...so for safety, it means that, im not going to get any chance rite? blush.gif need to upgrade to aftermarket cooler fan later... hmm.gif yeah i can feel the fun since im able to unlock the additional cores.. rclxm9.gif getting excited now...hehe...mind to share basic info that i should know before i can enter the oc world? notworthy.gif

congrats bro.

ok.. now dump overdrive 1st. its confusing
go to bios... set the vcore manually.. not auto.. letsay 1.35v as u using stock cooler.
disable cool and quiet.
test for stable

as for temperature..
check TMPIN1 for cpu temp as the core# malfunction.
last time i checked, TMPIN1 is 8c higher then core# temp.

tenz bro..smile.gif

plz guide me: notworthy.gif

wprime test completed... 1024M 403.947sec ( )

here are my max temperatures for:

TMPIN0 85
TMPIN1 68
TMPIN2 59

the max temp for my cpu is 70 degrees celcius isn't it? is the result ok or i should not go any further unless i go and get new cooler?

my cpu usage shows a clock speed of 3314Mhz...an increase of 14Mhz?

whats next? icon_question.gif smile.gif

i have some questions here...my default voltage is at 1.4V and now i've change it to 1.35V as recomended...why there is an increase in cpu clock speed when the voltage is less? hmm.gif

hey..i've xperienced this -->

"the system has experienced boot failures bcoz of OC-ing. last setting in bios setup may coincide with current H/W states"

current CPU speed : 16.5X 200Mhz
current memory speed: 1333Mhz
current HT speed : 200Mhz

Press <DEL> key to enter bios setup or press any rest of keys to continue

is this normal for OC? i've noticed that my pc took quite a longer time than normal before the beep sound (after pressing the power button) is this the result of boot failures? icon_question.gif

ur temp seems high.. an x4 safe temp is around 70 (correct me if im wrong).. but i ever done it around 80 on stock cooler, crazy rclxub.gif
u should test the machine longer using prime95(at least 1st test) or linx(at least 20 runs)..
the error is normal..

Hi guys, i'm new here. Recently, i wanted to play PS2 games in my pc. I used PCSX2 and want to play Gran Turismo 4 (it's a high demand game sweat.gif ) the ideal cpu speed for that game to run smoothly is around 3.5-4.0 GHz

1) Can i overclock my CPU to 4.0GHz using bios without changing my stock CPU coolant? is it stable?

2) If I have to change my CPU coolant, what is a better one?

(btw my rig spec is at my sig if i got to improve others please let me know)

Thanx in advance rclxms.gif

just dont jump to 4ghz yet..that is quite hard to get..and u on stock cooler..
try 3.6ghz without any vcore increase

and also, change to cheap coolermaster hyper 212+ for around 100.if u want better, state budget.
