Bulldozer-Ready AMD 990FX Based MSI Big Bang Conqueror Motherboard Pictured
MSI let its latest motherboard for the AMD Zambezi platform face the lens. The Big Bang Conqueror is based on the AMD 990FX chipset, and features the latest AM3+ socket to connect to processors based on AMD's Bulldozer architecture. The first set of processors will feature 8 cores, 16 MB cache, and dual-channel DDR3 memory with default DRAM speeds to match bandwidth provided by slower triple-channel DDR3 memory on current Intel Core i7 LGA1366 processors.
The Big Bang Conqueror uses a 10-phase VRM to power the CPU. The CPU is wired to four DDR3 DIMM slots for dual-channel memory. Expansion slots include three PCI-E 2.0 x16 (electrical x16/16/NC or x16/x8/x8), one PCI-E x16 (electrical x4), two PCI-E x1, and a PCI. Storage includes six internal SATA 6 Gb/s, two eSATA. Other connectivity includes USB 3.0, gigabit Ethernet, 8-channel audio with optical and coaxial SPDIF, and FireWire. Various overclocker-friendly features are also present.

@cloudwan even the SB mobo have heatsink that quite same as asus right? nice to see ram slots that selang seli..kekeke
That got me puzzle to, can we really use AM3+ cpu on our mobo?
I think its ok for all ahsos ROG mobo's regardless of its chipset to take a cue from each other, for them i think its still acceptable but if another mobo manufacturer also copy it then its kinda funny to me.. Yup i kinda like to have the ram slot like that also, at least give a breathing space between rams to let em cool down in an oc session

looks like bulldozer can sit on am3 sockets eh...
with some feature disable? and do bulldozer haf new feature? 10 phase VRM should be pump enough volt to cpu...and what does this mean? not quite understand

10 phase pwm for cpu + nb i think... means it matches most of mid~top range mobo from other manufacturers... a welcome feature to me. but if can put digital pwm better still...

Well IIANM its kinda like this: Intel LGA1366 natively support DDR3 1066Mhz which with its triple channel setting would equal to around 25.6 GB/s of mem bandwidth.. AMD bulldozer on the other hand with it's lack of triple channel support, to compensate would supposedly support out from the box DDR3 1866Mhz which if use on a dual channel setup will give around the same or more mem bandwidth as current Intel i7's

Hahahaha, i think it could still be an 8+2 phase mobo like current AMD highend mobo Digital pwm's is to die for but the price i think would be astronomical

digital pwm is d signature of flagship mobo, since fx series is d top end chipset, why not put digital pwm on those boards? yeah, price i d main concern thou... price of mobo gettin more n more crazy nowadays...

Guys have u all ever heard of Indigo Extreme? Heard that its a thermal paste that can seriously drop temp for oc & daily use, much better than AS5 & the lot
