when i say here, it means sg... i never look down on 'em what? i always wanted to try value but why do so while gskill, ocz ram are available @ < 50% of kvr price? some more, these ram (u can say performance ram but i wont call 'em that way coz sometimes even value ram can outperform 'em) can fetch better price after i tested 'em. buy a pair of kvr then u surely need to sell 'em @ below ya purchase price, while with so called performance ram i mite able to get almost d same price if not d same. food for thought: if u were to "rugi" almost d same amount of moolah, which one would u choose, performance or value?

ram testin depends on luck sometimes, but most of d time, imc + how muchya board like d ram play d most important role. if i can have d luxury to keep all d great stuff i've tested, i can say most ram will perform very2 decently w my ex 1055t, but reality is a biatch so when i need to move on, off they go. oc is not about havin d great stuff & bring 'em to d expected level, it's more on bringin out d best of what u have (be it value of premium).

for me, imc depends on luck.. since i cant figure any way to see the imc is good witout testing it 1st..but for board, same model most probably will have almost the same capability..for ram, if got money, then no luck apply.. if buy value ram with remark ic, then that is luck..kekeke

if only have luxury, i will buy mahal2 HW, but now only afford value line HW.

heheheh...same here i agreed with ah khoo...oc is more to luck and skill... but bro mine kvr cannot run 6-9-6 leh even i loose the timing and drive strength..i can boot up but windows always keeping error when pup volt a bit to 1.74v i'll BSOD

try memtest 'em b4 goin straight to windows (if u haven't do that). drive strength will only help when u get few errors in memtest test #5, if ur gettin tonnes of errors, it's either juice not enuf/timing too tight. if u've tried loosen d timing + pumpin d voltage but still gettin hell lotsa errors, it's obvious that d wall is hit.

my pendrive left at my wife house so didnt tried the memtest... but mostly option i done already still tonnes of errors i think the kvr r begging me a rest lol

i must be one of those who started oc a decade ago... lol... i'm still usin usb fdd for memtest...

joke aside, it has gave its best ledi, pls have mercy on it. from what i noticed, too much primin (w/ high volts) will degrade ya ram...

hahahahha now i dont oc much... just run normal speed for 24/7 usage... give my companion a rest for a week

not all chip like more vdimm.. just try to find a best vdimm that perhaps not high..but able to push ram up high..
u play with drive strength? mind to share ur findings?
the only drivestrength that i know can be lowered to gain stability is the addr.. if only u use low divider.. others yet to discover...
why dont u try increasing some? like the cke.
correct me if im wrong..only my evo capable of changing drive strength and i havent use it for long time d.
i only use memtest when using biostar board..that have memtest included in bios
