Install the open-source openchrome driver by executing sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-openchrome in terminal. You should be able to change to a higher resolution after restarting X.

here's my question:

If I'm going to dual-boot vista and Ubuntu (with vista installed first, then Ubuntu),

Do I need to download & install new system drivers for Ubuntu? (after installing Ubuntu)

actually most of the drivers are ready once u successfully installed ubuntu as ubuntu recognises most hardwares...except for some hardware such as 3d card, u need to install...

Ubuntu usually has most of drivers for today devices.
If it doesn't has it, you need to go to the devices maker homepage to download the necessary drivers.
