mind to share why not worth? Your experience and all. since im new to this..

from my calculation, i get a tom for around rm50, i have my td 4 module wif me and the cost to make the trigger maybe around rm30. Make a few most will be less than rm1k.

New kit will be few thousands. Of course maybe theres stuff i didnt thought so plz share icon_question.gif

cymbals are more difficult. I plan to make a hybrid maybe ill use the electronic cymbals and hi hat at the moment. WHen the technology developes im sure they will make cooler cymbles in the future. ALso some have manage to make great acoustic-electric cymbals but its out of my skill right now. So have to start slowly. Ill make a blog to see my progress tongue.gif

Hopefully will be a successful project rclxms.gif

Thanks. The plan is to complement a really good maple drum I already have. I'm just getting a plain vanilla model. I wanted one with all the bells and whistles but Dunnett and its network of "boutique" shops are a real b*tch to deal with, honestly. It was a toss up between this and a Joyful Noise TKO but I chose this 'coz Musician's Friend has always been easy to deal with.

Does anyone have anything to share on heads/tuning? Just wanted to poll: Evans is the best right nod.gif?

Its a four piece tongue.gif

If you die for drumset, might as well you get and something bigger, and better, then swap out the toms and all for different tones biggrin.gif

Don't be so greedy. laugh.gif

Btw it's a splash he put on top of the crash cymbal right?

I realized that many do the same too.

Explain humble please.

Too general. doh.gif

This is my favourite Youtube drummer after Cobus. rclxms.gif

Added on October 30, 2010, 4:53 pmI still feel the frustration everytime I play my kit.

I've tried to tune it everywhere, but it just wont make the warm sound I want.

wow, it's been awhile since my last post here. Been busy lately, exams and stuff.

Isaac: Yeah man, the pearl steel piccolo is the best chepeast snare drum ever (replying to your older post, hehe). Maybe we should create a "Pearl Steel Piccolo" owner's club? hahaha.

btw, my friend's studio has a 5 piece Pearl Export kit, but the rental is a bit higher than Rhythmix lah, its around RM300-Rm400 per day. Is this for the charity concert?

btw, I've been using Evans Reversed Power Centre skin on my snares. I prefer evans than Remo coz I realised that Evans last longer than Remo.
