HAHAHAHAHAHA! About 1/2 of my posts (not counting the ones that I did in Audio and Accesories) were made here tongue.gif

ANYWAY... Since we seem to just be hanging around and doing nothing...

Here's something for you guys to discuss smile.gif
ELECTRIC DRUM vs ACOUSTIC DRUM.

1. For live shows
2. For under 3k budget
3. For unlimited budget.

Which would you choose?
*
Number 1, Electric drums for live shows just don't make it.

Unless you're on a Roland TD-20 which is RM 30k, number 2.

For number 3, there's still higher grades acoustic drums like DW/Ludwig/etc that can beat Electric drums flat.

I've seen this drum kit before. yawn.gif

Forgotten who's though.

Yup. Its Disturbed drum kit. What SNSD song u playing now?
Electric kit can also play live but its just not cool enough. Not the quality problem or anything. laugh.gif

How much is the Yamaha? Is it same level as TD20?
*
There is this feeling difference, sound hearing feeling difference, and appearance difference IMO.

You mean what song I want to cover?

QUOTE(isaacmiranda7 @ Oct 8 2010, 06:34 PM)
But of course, the best thing would be to mesh it together biggrin.gif

Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a TD-9 module... Then placing it on a practice pad kit and shifting it around my set smile.gif Your thoughts?
*
That's of course worth some effects if you have extra plugs. nod.gif

And bold part: QFT.

Mm might want to practice more timing and create more rolls/fills first for now.

QUOTE(isaacmiranda7 @ Oct 8 2010, 11:03 PM)
Well, then your thoughts on the Pearl ePro? Looks and feels like an acoustic drumset smile.gif
*
Never tried one. Bro you got your hands on it edi?

Pearl e pro sounds good. But i think it will be expensive. Not sure how it compares to td20. If can put more trigger and not so expensive i might get it. Need see review first also la tongue.gif

My ideal drum kit will be 1 snare, 1 bass, 3 toms, 1 floor, 2 crash, 1 ride, 1 china, 1 splash, and 1 hat... Im very simply no need so many funky stuff... But now max trigger for electric i think is 12 trigger only not enuff sad.gif
*
No one says you must have a full electric drum kit.

You may buy the Pearl ePro and then add acoustic drums.

Fulamak money well spent.

Nope smile.gif it isn't in Malaysia.
The Pearl E Pro is about RM10k-RM15k if I'm not mistaken smile.gif
If I do get it eventually, it will will after I purchase a good acoustic set smile.gif
People say the TD-20 modules do sound more complete and better, but then again, that has been the end product of years, working with keyboards, synths and electronic drums.

Acoustic sound-wise for the Pearl E-Pro vs the Roland TD-20.... Pearl 1, Roland 0 tongue.gif HAHAHAHAHA!
Actually, it's possible. Many drummers do use a mixture of acoustic and electric drumsets. The difference being, the acoustic is triggered into a module or mic-ed and the electric goes through a module before meeting up in the mixer smile.gif
*
nod.gif

Well recording with Acoustic is not as complicated as it seem.

U stay double storey different cuz at top.. but then again, u stay terrace beside got neighbour oso they wont complain? Did u use some kind of padding or wat? Can teach me?
rclxms.gif thumbup.gif
yUP I OSO THINK SAME THING... td20 IS past tech and e pro is new stuff... R u sure pearl e pro sound better? Then like dat pearl e pro will definitely better... E pro can change into acoustic also?? 100% same like acoustic with the crash and other stuff real acoustic?
*
Why is it different?

The storey below you cannot hear you, your neighbour cannot hear you.

And I think the neighbour above you wouldn't complaint too.

When I close my door they cant hear anything from my speaker/drums.

In fact, the room beside mine was only divided with wooden seperators.

Oh yeah I stuff pillows in my bassdrum to prevent my walls from shaking.

Maybe there's a tip there.

Mute pads for cymbals, snares is something you might want to try. I don't use them, though.

i find it hard to believe. either they want to jaga ur hati kah or they full blast their tv set to cover up the noises u make.

how is it possible for a "wooden seperators" manage to cover up the monstrous decibels that a drum makes? if it is possible, party2dmax would've get pissed, real pissed. haha.
*
Well we never expect it would be so quiet.

I lock my room doors and I hit the drums hard.

I have a king size bed and quite stuffed room though. Not to mention that my drums is near a busy road and there's a wide balcony beside.

QUOTE(fifi85 @ Oct 9 2010, 04:48 PM)
so weird.. your drum muz soound very soft or u playing softly.. no way close door cannot hear unless your door is like the prison metal door.. take pic brows.gif
*
Playing soft is not my style.

In fact I play really hard. That if my ear mutes fell off my ears would hurt.

Yup smile.gif But drummers who can't AFFORD IEM's... Usually use them just to soften the tone. There's one ear mute in US that allows you to change the level of noise that you hear, more bass, more treble, etc. Not connected to anything... Just switch out one or two parts for something else xD

*
There is an adjustable pair I see selling in Guitar Collection SS15.

Not sure how it works, though.

I think 1 take drum class next time but what the difference between someone who take class and dun take class?
*
Well when you take class you have someone more experienced to guide you, live.

Point out your mistakes, ways to overcome it, etc.
