Does any of you guys are interested to play drums for SOUNDGARDEN covers jamming? I posted in the band seek thread a while ago, and i figured perhaps i can have better chance finding someone if i go directly to where the drummers reside

Me and my frens are huge fans of Soundgarden and we had done few times of SG jamming previously, with me on drums. Now my guitarist wanna tryout different drummer (my skill is lacking ?? lol) and I want to play rhythm guitar for future sessions.

Soundgarden is the band from 90's alternative era.. it's the Chris Cornell's band. It's difficult to classify them into a genre, i would say grunge / metal with a tinge of progressive music. Listen to their albums man.. especially Badmotorfinger, Superunknown and Down on the Upside; impressive drumming from Matt Cameron (my idol )

Primarily i play drums, but once in a while i play guitar too (rhythm only, no fancy shreddy lead lines)

Build good foundation first.

I also search them on youtube. The band's song not bad seeing that its their original song. If only can get better quality to listen then youtube.

You don't have to wait till you're good to start jamming. In fact, jamming helps you build yourself up better. As long as you can do basic beats, start jamming. It helps your overall timing and helps you to sync with other players, as well as build confidence.

Honestly. Don't wait.

I know some great solo drummers who can't play in bands well.

Whatever.

I expected this from any of you since my post.

Well, of course I know it would practice and train me to be a better drummer, and I know it's a waste of chance to let them go like this.

But for now I am still having fun playing alone.

And studies come first; as my mom says.

Hey guys... Im currently looking for a drummer who plays metal to form a band. Dont have to be pro, as long as u play similar styles is good enough. Influences Trivium, Children of Bodom, Cacophony, Megadeth, Metallica, Symphony X, Lamb of God.

hmm doesnt matter. I just listed my influences. As long as u play double pedal is good enough. And we wont be jamming lamb of god songs until later. Can u play Angels Dont Kill or Everytime I Die by COB.

Er, let's just say I'm enjoying by playing myself currently.

Does anyone knows any music school in KL, Cheras that I can go to learn drums and how much does it costs?
