I began to believe that its either Celcom have problem sending the FACETIME activation code from their SMSC (or MMSC) OR probably Celcom decided NOT to provide the FACETIME activation NOW since Celcom is planning to launch their iPhone 4 very soon. If they ALLOW to activate Facetime, I am sure people will continue to buy from Maxis and Digi or others. AND Celcom will lose their opportunity to sell iPhone 4....

Before the rumour about Celcom bringing iphone 4 start spreading, you can activate facetime without any problem.

Well when I checked the network settings under cellular data, I noticed the Internet Tether section wasn't there. I went back to then turned everything off, 3G, data and tether and did a hard reset. When I turned the iphone back on, the internet tether on/off button wasn't available anymore. Luckily, I read on how to re-update the carrier setting and the Internet tether on/off button is there again! Hmm, hope this doesn't happen to everyone else

QUOTE(nalvinj @ Dec 22 2010, 08:37 PM) But how to get it I can't tell it here as JB tread is not allowed. But if want to know more can just PM me and I'll help if I could. just to update. This method also not working in maintaining my 3G connection. It also lost later quite sometimes. But I managed to solve it. I dropped to celcom center, ask them for this problem. And they changed my sim card. Now I not losing my 3G connection anymore (except certain uncovered area, it turns to EDGE) for two days. This info I would like to share with everyone. BTW, this tweaks you give me earlier used for me now. This post has been edited by fhunkyfhinky: Dec 29 2010, 01:25 PM

i'm using 3gs (iOS 3.1.2 stock maxis set...no-jailbreak) on celcom. in about page, my carrier is only 5.0. when i do the check in itunes, it doesn't update mine to the 9.1 that you guys are having. how to update to 9.1? must use iOS4? edit: finally updated my iOS from 3.1.2 to 4.2.1. Carrier is version 9.0 by default, after the carrier pop up update, finally get 9.1. going to discover more on 4.2.1 on 3GS as i can'[t find any discussion regarding the latest iOS 4 on 3GS as most are on iphone 3G.
