u will not get heart attack with celcom....

if u are not internet (data usage) heavy user like me... RM38 - 1Gb is enuff...if you cant live without internet then upgrade to unlimited plan RM68 or RM98

thanks for this..

just want to ask, anyone who have any problem on running Celcom 9.1 with iOS 4.2 JB?

Because last week I was running on Celcom 9.1 with iOS 4.2 JB. I always have call drop issue and problem. So, I downgrade to iOS 4.1, with carrier default 8.0. No issue on this call drop, and message latency. Want to update to 9.1, but afraid problem will be happen again.

Issue on this 8.0 carrier is 3G signal always drop, but never drop my call, and ends up with E or O symbol beside bars, and lost forever after few hours. So, I have to restart back to get back that 3G signal. Any suggestions? Thanx in advance!

BTW, I on 3GS.

Just want to ask, the call drops due to the iOS 4.2 or the carrier Celcom 9.1? Because mine is previously iOS 4.1 JB with Carrier 8.0 and just yesterday update to Celcom 9.1 but still iOS 4.1 JB. When using 8.0 my 3G also always drops and it always tends to go to either EDGE (E) or GSM (O) rather then the 3G. But now after updating to 9.1 my signals seems ok for now, even the MY CELCOM had been change to Celcom already.

I dont know and not so sure. Thats why I need others experience on this to share together. Maybe OS, or carrier compability. Try to google it myself, but cannot find.

For now, I also have same symptom with you. With 4.1 JB and carrier celcom 8.0, the signal goes to EDGE, and maybe lost both after quite sometimes instead of 3G.

After you update your carrier, 3G is stable or not? Still drop to EDGE?

Yes, after update from 8.0 to 9.1 the 3G stays as it should be. I'm using CELCOM P148 package and I carried out speed test using "Speed Test" and I got download speed more or less 1000kpbs and upload speed of more or less 300kbps.

same package here. Just to ask, yours are automatically update, or you do it manual?

Guide can ah? I try to follow previous post, but afraid it could effect my JB. icon_question.gif

I followed the prevoius post and it works for me. Mine are now Celcom 9.1 and still iOS4.1 JB and so far did not affect any of my JB apps. The guide on the previous post are very useful and easy to follow. Try it for yourself

Same with me dude. I let it on all the time, but after a few hours, it lost. How about ur email?manually fetch and push or u set it timely.

I afraid when no data used, it will turn off by itself.

Email I set to push and also by every 15 mins. I set both. For the 3G, to save battery, I use one app from Cydia that will automatically switch off my 3G when I lock the phone or when using WIFI, and it will turn automatically to 3G when I unlock my phone.

Can u share with me the name of that apps? I might want to try it.

But how to get it I can't tell it here as JB tread is not allowed. But if want to know more can just PM me and I'll help if I could.

just to update. This method also not working in maintaining my 3G connection. It also lost later quite sometimes.

But I managed to solve it.

I dropped to celcom center, ask them for this problem. And they changed my sim card. Now I not losing my 3G connection anymore (except certain uncovered area, it turns to EDGE) for two days. This info I would like to share with everyone.

BTW, this tweaks you give me earlier used for me now. laugh.gif laugh.gif
