I'm on MIUI. Very happy with it. Stable and fast. The scrolling is very fluid. Camera ok only la but I prefer the sense camera though..Still useable..Yes, there is 720p recording..Battery life is superb. Can last me more than a day(I'm a heavy sms-er). If use very little(no games, just sms and light calls) probably can last 2 days.

I think RRP still 2199..garage sales got people selling RM2000 iirc

regarding the battery life, is your internet turned on all the time? if yes then it's really good.. any solution for the dialer? it's based on the default dialer of android right?

I asked around shops in Lowyat.. they claims that HTC will discontinue this model and bring in th Desire HD and Desire Z.

Even my fren went Maxis to ask for this phone, they tell him the same thing... Is this possible?

Yea the default dialer. Takes a little time to get used to but I'm all good

Possible but I highly doubt it. It's a relatively new model to be discontinued so soon. Plus it's their flagship device.

Its not discontinued la.. maybe its SIS malaysia which decides to reduce the sales and readjust the RRP since the desire Z might be replacing Desire's RRP.. and they also cant lower down HTC Desire's RRP too low or it would be priced the same as HTC Legend.. product support will still be available, dont worry.. perhaps its only to be rare to find a SIS set htc desire sometime later on... dont worry too much.. its not affecting current owners and 2nd hand price wont drop greatly since the demand for HTC Desire is still high among consumers, its the distributors which is worried bout the pricing and over supplying

keypoints of ppl wanting the HTC Desire :

- amoled display looks better compared to SLCD on Desire Z
- bigger battery 1400 vs 1300 (DZ)
- formfactor of 3.7inch without keyboard.. the Z is too bulky

AOSP rom users! Be sure to check out Youlu Address Book, it has become a straight away default dialer for me once installed this morning. Very very clean interface! IMO, its a challenge to the htc dialer...

very agree with you on screen size..if too large pocket too heavy
plus spec almost the same...just increase on internal memory and ram..
so far 512 already enough...space 1.5gb on desire Z...later people we go for adsd+ and rely to memory card..same with us on desire

Yes you can download apps from com and transfer to phone. For free apps just go to the market on the phone and click the free tab. If you are talking about free paid apps, we're not allowed to discuss about that here
