Yes, i had the same problem. But, it didn't happen all the times. This happened in my previous version but just updated to the new version and have not had such problem yet.

Try juiceDefender and it helps to improve my battery life to 24 hrs. With the latest firmware (DXJM4), I realized that it solved the gallery wakeup issue that improves the battery life even more smile.gif

Yes, this is "normal". I read somewhere that it is done intentionally as if the screen is on landscape mode, it is easier to use the swipe feature than big keyboard. If you only like to type by pressing on each key, then change the input method to normal keyboard smile.gif

Firmware update: use Samsung Kies, safest

Batt Drain: Good luck, i have been fighting this issue since I got the device 2 months ago. But the latest firmware seems to improve a lot. Also, try JuiceDefender, that helps to manage WiFi and data connection effectively to reduce unnecessary power consumption.

You can only charge effectively by using the supplied AC adapter. The PC USB does not have sufficient "current"/amps to charge the device quickly.

Hi

can i ask.. I have a maxis wireless BB modem & sim card. how do i use it on the SGT? just insert the sim card or use the usb modem?

Just wondering if anyone knows where to get a hard-cover case (polycarbonate would be great) for the Galaxy Tab .... looking high and low for the case ... only can find leather case which I already have one ...

Mind me asking, whats the major difference between JJ1 with other latest firmwares?

Im still on JJ1 and not having any problems...very smooth and acceptable..

Wonder should i upgrade or not..

Hi...

I just bought my Galaxy tab last week and really not impressed with the performance, i bought it from lelong.com.my without warrany!!.
I guess its an earlier version (JJ2). when i connected with Kies, it shows that I have the latest version.. what a crap...

Then I figure out there is a way to manually upgrade it xda forum...

Just installed the latest dolphin browser. The pinch n zoom is working again.

I thought the latest firmware has some protected bootloader or something like that ... is it safe to flash a custom ROM to the GTab at this point in time?

I think unless you are experiencing some major performance issue with the GTab on the standard firmware ... there really isn't any good reason to flash a custom rom ... correct me if I'm wrong

Thanks for the thread.After struggle so long cannot pinch and zoom on Jm4 firmware now my tab speed like Lamborghini.I hope this year is all for androids tablet especially SGT. thumbup.gif

You have to manually rename all 480X854 folders to 600x1024. Connect your Tab to computer. Search for all folders with name " 480x854" - then rename each of it. There should be a few of such folders.

After that, locate SPARE PARTS in TAB menu and enable full screen. Reset your TAB and it should be OK

more into writing than typing, thinking of using it for meeting and related, any ideas?
