Greetings to all Tab user. I got 2 question regarding the Tab:
1) does it works with Facebook games (eg: farmville)
2) can it support buffering when watching streaming video (pausing to view it later uninterrupted).

TQ

Digi also give RM40 rebate for 3 month if you go for the 3 year contract.

Anyway, does anyone know does the Tab sold by Digi is locked for Digi sim card only? I'm asking this because yesterday went to Digi centre to play with the Tab and I want to try the messaging function, so the salesgirl put in my Maxis simcard and to 'our' surprise, no network message appears. Put the sim back into my phone, and it work properly.

why did you not buy it?

They (Digi BP) told me that the RM40/month rebate for 6 month are only for 2 years contract, I'm looking for only 1 year contract. This rebate 'term' such also different between Digi branch, some offer for 1 year contract also, some already stop the promotion, some until end of December. So I want to shop around for better offer.

I believe those who are facing 3g issue is due to DiGi's unstable HSPA network. I am facing the same issue too, not only for my tab but also for many other phones.

Is Digi data network really bad compared to other telco?

I tried using the standard SGT MAPS app in the house and manage to lock my coordinates, using wifi connection. But the lock-in was not accurate, it locked into the next housing area instead tongue.gif

Not sure about papago .... never download that yet.

GPS signal is weak/loss inside building. Try doing it outdoor under clear sky.

Cannot edit the first page to put such information in the current thread?

AFAIK, only TS (buntutwoman) and mods can edit the 1st post, maybe also the title. So unless TS also bought the Tab, I doubt he will have time to update the 1st post with new info etc. hmm.gif

Look cheapo is OK for me as long as it is cheap. laugh.gif And would be safer also since 'bad' people wouldn't suspect there's a Tab inside. icon_idea.gif

I'm really satisfied although my pocket is bleeding. The tab can do all the things that I need.

Keep playing NFS:Shift since yesterday.

Does the tab heated up if user play games for too long like 5 hours like that?
*
I didn't play it continuously but when browsing the web, you can feel a slight temperature rise after 30 min or so. But not really that bad. My tablet laptop with AMD processor are really hot making it impossible to be use as tablet, need to put on table.

Yes.

I felt the heat too. But no way as hot as laptop tho.
One more thing the battery for standby time is really good. Just that when games and surfing with 3g or wifi on ot drain really fast.. i lasted 2 days with only few hrs surfing during those 2 days. And the brightness at >25%, 3g and bluetooth on.

Do we need to turn off the 3g when not using? I had been turn it always on since few days back when i had the maxis connection problem. Normally i use wifi  most of the time just leave the 3g auto.. Btw i m using maxis 3g pacakage. Just to be safe. The 3g plan should help on the risk of the bill shock...  shakehead.gif

I just leave it on auto.

I'm using Digi. Loss faith with Maxis already due to shocking bill last month.

I have been using macis for 10 years. Last month i accidentally use the pay per use data. Its my fault, i know. But i try to nego with them to convert the usage to 1 day access plan, but failed. Imo, i should get better treatment as long time user.

I see a lot of maxis subscribers that are conned but not complain to the right authorities sad.gif

Even so, how bullet-proof is the 3g watchdog to hacking? They can easily said user modified the data. hmm.gif
