Well, with RM2699, yup...like AP set's price (which can get iPad 3G 32GB from Singapore).
But with RM1799 from Maxis, its definately a great deal. Well, get it as additional sub line if you don't want to carry around a 7inches phone as primary phone.

Weird part they already print the pamphlet already for TAB

You guys seem to have your math twisted.

Just buy the tab at 1849 with the cheapest one year contract and even if you throw away/don't use the 3G, you end up paying 1849 plus rm48 for 12 months which is 576 so the total you pay for the device is rm2425.00. Tell me I am wrong - I can't be because I just did it by buying it. I suppose the only catch is that you need to buy under a Maxis user's line.

how about just dialing someone via video call, you will find out sure enough though 30 sen or so poorer...

I "throw away" their data package, i.e. don't use it. If I need to use in an emergency, I still can use and surely won't use more that 500mb so there you go.

I really don't dare to use Maxis Data Plan..charge me RM100++ within a month even though I'm the Value First user and use 3G network only to check 4d result. since then, I never browse internet through my phone and my bill keep less than RM40.

if i disable data usage, how can they charge me a cent above the rm48 per month? I would like to see them try that and they will be in trouble with the MCCC

With regards to battery life, its too early too tell. at present i can get about 5hrs of continous surfing. From my understanding, your mobile battery will reach peak conditioning after about 2 - 3 weeks with proper charging cycles. I believe there some discussion on phone battery life on XDA & some people who seem to be in the know had mentioned this. As with both my HTC Legend & Desire, i found that following this method, my batt life went from about20hrs ++ initially with light usage, to about 2.5 - 3 days after 3 weeks.

Where you stayed? How long the users need to wait if order?
You get it straight when you order it? How long can it survive on battery? How long is the warranty offered by Maxis?
