They (Digi BP) told me that the RM40/month rebate for 6 month are only for 2 years contract, I'm looking for only 1 year contract. This rebate 'term' such also different between Digi branch, some offer for 1 year contract also, some already stop the promotion, some until end of December. So I want to shop around for better offer.

does the galaxy tab comparable to be used as a sub for mobile phones?

does it able to perform as good as netbook? (document processing such as word powerpoint pdf)

still considering to buy sgt, not sure if worth the money.
havent tried it hands on but from what ive heard its quite thick and heavy is it?

I had used it as my phone for the past week, so far ok since i dun call that much.
And one thing for sure a tablet may not be totally replace ur netbook, should be compliment it.
Some basic doc processing is still fine, but not sure abt powerpoint..

But for email, web surfing, social networking or and some other basic tasks, it is more than capable. Much better compare to netbook. I suggest u check out youtube videos on sgt, then u can have better idea..

how does it perform as a ebook reader?

im planning to put away my netbook and just use the sgt for document stuff, does it do good or even better than office in netbook?

i tried stylus on SGT and it doesn't work

y can't they make one like nintendo DS whiich can take finger & stylus

Curious to know why you said SGT is better than netbook for those functions.

The only thing that SGT is better is it's 7" portable and lighter.

Anything that involves typing and mouse clicking on the netbook is definitely better and faster than SGT. Can never replace keyboard and mouse/cursor speed and convenience.

er.. dont compare the SGT with a Netbook la.. Netbook way faster than a SGT. One is a tablet, another is a Netbook.. Huge differences ler..

Personal preference, i would rather surf the internet and email on my tab rather than on laptop. But by no means it is to replace pc or laptops.. Actually i prefer surfing the net with ipad, but sgt is not too bad just need to get used to it due to its size.

Think most of us would grumble a bit during first few dys using it as internet device.

I m just trying a lot on sgt now try to make it as productive as possible.. Trying to do posting and blog and other stuff.. Still pretty messy and hard, but i can see this should be the way to go in the future.. Android and html5 needs to improve..

Yes reading is super nice... Ipad would be smoother by mili - mili seconds..    but bit heavy. Sgt would be just nice to hold as ereading device..

But laptop will survive, but not netbook. Personal opinion...

About as mobile phone usage, there are many comments available. Just look thru those who commented.

I think to sum up SGT, it is perfect companion when used as a "viewing/reading" device.
Anything to do editing will be painful but simple editing e.g. email is alright. Netbook will good for editing.

If your time mostly spend on reading then it is perfect device.
Since it is small you can use it on couch/bed/seat do your reading/surfing nets.
To describe the weight, I can hold it while lying on the bed/couch to reading books/magazine.
It is easy to carry around that netbook because of the weight and size.

You have to try it to see if you love it. I think all the big Maxis Center has the demo unit.

tablet is mainly portable for reading and entertainment device.
Still a long way to replace netbook if it ever will..

I never liked netbook anywhere, since some i3 and i5 laptop is also quite affordable now...

I believe those who are facing 3g issue is due to DiGi's unstable HSPA network. I am facing the same issue too, not only for my tab but also for many other phones.

Is Digi data network really bad compared to other telco?

I use on my previous iphone not so bad.but tab keep dc till i call digi.they said my location ss2 is ok and stable.so nothing wrong with digi

Sometimes this happens when your SIM card is not properly secure. Maybe u want to double check that..
