nope..f42 is just like your metz plus it can swivel left and right..
unlike f58 which can tilt till the back and is capable of twisting in a semi circle to the left and right.what do you call that movement anyway?

on my 11mm, there will be some part of the filter holder visible. turned to about 12-13mm, it will be gone. or there is a thinner series from Cokin, but im guessing that it will be more expensive

I don't think so,if it's f42 replacement,it should be around the same price as current f42,just like what albnok mentioned. There are plenty of photokina2010 photos in google  tongue.gif
Don't know what model,looks like a f42 replacement for me.
Any UWA users here can suggest me a filter system for landscape? For example Cokin P system? Or Tian Ya perhaps? Do the filter holders cause vignetting on UWA lenses? Thanks for the info,I am FUTURE new learner in UWA  notworthy.gif

before getting any of the filter system, make sure your lense can take in the filter in the first place

it is not manual focus, but the gears are driven by a motor from the camera body instead of motor from inside the lens as found in a SAM lens.

so, because of this, SAL lenses on NEX adapters cannot be auto focused as the adapters does not have any screw drive to spin the SAL lenses' gears. But with SAM and SSM lenses, the adapter can relay the information into the lens to tell it how to focus

SAL =/= manual focus.. provided the camera have in-body screw-drive focus motor..
and so far all sony alpha model have it. smile.gif
the lens don't have motor, but have AF-gear

errr... i thought SAL refers to Sony's Alpha Lense mount?
SAM means it has a kind of internal focus motor
so all SAM is a SAL lense, but not all SAL is SAM equipped

correct

SAM = in-lens motor
SSM = Supersonic Motor
SAL = sony alpha lens
