Thanks but i already bridge the tmnet router to my own router. Its jz i duno hw configure my router to the fibre unit straight (on the athena website it says to do some vlan tagging beforehand which I dont know whether its do-able in my linksys router) . I know i cant access the iptv but i dont nid it. Oh well, i want to check out the linksys E3000 high performance router but its not available in Mly i guess and i dont want to order online, get it only to realise i dont know how to configure it. sweat.gif

the vlan tagging is to be done on your TM DIR615 router... you will not lost your iptv as it still connecting to the TM router.....
As for your router... just like normal streamyx configuration... enter your username and password in the pppoe setting.... and connect...
correct me if i'm wrong..

If your linksys which is running dd-wrt rejects the usage of a vlan interface (using eth0.500 as WAN port assignment and the setting reverts), it's probably running on a Broadcom chipset and you won't be able to do a direct fiber <-> router WAN port link with it.

Found this intriguing post on Slashdot while snaking at work. I wonder when incidents like this will happen in Malaysia...?

Idk, same user/pass for every BTU.. full access to every dir-615 on the Unifi network due to the config.bin exploit.. and an ISP which is encouraging every user to leave it all open (even to the extent of sending out mass SMSes telling everyone to leave it enabled). You guess lar tongue.gif

Nice guide there. If you're using your own router e.g WRT54GL, you can follow this guide.

If you're using back DIR-615 for the PPPoE, you need to set LAN Port 1, VLAN ID=500 and PVID=N/A. Then you can connect back your DIR-615 to the LAN Port 1 of the BTU without changing any configuration on the DIR-615.

Silencer, this is what you need to do.

Connect your laptop/pc to Port 4 of your ZTE BTU 931

Manually set your laptop/pc I to 192.168.1.2 subnect mask 255.255.255.0, you may leave the gateway blank.

After that login to your BTU, via 192.168.1.1 and type in username and password = admin

After that, follow this screenshot below.

Disclaimer, I am not liable for any damages/down time caused to anyone.  Do it at your own risk.

Port 1 (Connects to your router's WAN port)

Click on Advanced Setup > Vlan Trunk Setting

Then follow this screenshot.

Click Save/Apply

After this, click on the LAN Interface Select pull down menu on top and select LAN2

Tick vlan Trunk Enable and configure as per screenshot below

Port 2 (Connects to  your IPTV)

Click Save/Apply.

Reboot your ZTE BTU and IPTV and Router.

That link someone gave a few pages back, to register for UNIFI payment online. How do I register for that?? Some of the info that they ask I have no idea what it is.
*
Follow the info on your bill. Name has to be exactly the same. Not sure if it's case sensitive.

Man.. is anyone getting frequent disconnections?
I have to reboot my Dlink Router 4-5 times every hour!
Area in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.

When call customer service they say the "have to check their side"

I'm going to install unifi 2 weeks later. Appointment scheduled with TM.
I plan to place all the unifi combo set at 1st floor master bedroom.
My question as below:
1. the wifi (1st floor master room) strong enough to reach the ground floor? I'm staying at double storey terrace.
2. plan to get a pair of homeplug to stream the iptv (1st floor master room) to TV at ground floor. will this work?
3. My house is on 3rd phase ... any extra preparation in addition to be done?
Thanks.

I guess the dlink router is the cause of the disconnection..... as the TM DLink DIR615 is giving alot trouble to everyone who has unifi....

I think so.. had to kick up a fuss last time because the modem was totally out .. and for FIVE days Unifi kept telling me they will "Check on their side".
Finally they replaced the router...

And now the router is disconnecting again..
I wonder if I can use the Belkin Wireless-N router to replace the Dlink615...
Will Unifi do it for me?

Also how to upgrade firmware for DIR-615? I looked through the router options but cannot find anything.

you can use the Belkin router but you will lost the iptv function..
you use the custom router method which is mention in http://unifi.athena.my/, to use your tm dlink router as a vlan bridge....

Yeah I did that yesterday actually. Already managed to register.

One more thing. Never got the answer for it yet. MUTV, is it on already?? And is it free?? Don't seem to get it on my IPTV.

Called UNIFI customer service and they seem pretty blur about it.

Ohhh that I've already completed. Already made my payment as well.

The MUTV issue is the one that I have yet to receive an answer actually. Called UNIFI and they seem pretty blur. I don't have channel 170 on my IPTV.
