The T-Mobile version known Leo1024 has alot cooked rom and compatible for Android built. It uses different rom than international and NOT compatible with stock/ official HD2 international version.

You might have trouble to find solid/ plastic cases because its physically longer than international (122mm over 120mm height), But with the 1GB internal storage mean more space for necessary program can be installed, like Garmin XT

so u can spare the memcard for mediafiles and android built.

yup, I got the T Mobile version

Hello, I had confusion here whether should I choose the T-mobile HD2 (1024MB of ROM) or the normal HD2 which comes with the 512MB ROM.

Does bigger ROM like T-mobile ones gives more space for custom ROM(s) and advantages compared to the normal HD2?

just search for "market enabler", its a free app and can be used on any android build...
btw a lot of paid app are now available in the market even without the enabler cos google already added about 38 additional countries to its market list...see here

If you can access paid apps market with market enabler or market access, I dont think is rom problem. Since August in ALL the roms I have tested, I has no problem buying paid apps. You should look back at your payment details - you should be using GoogleCheckout to setup an account to pay for the purchases or - recheck your credit card details

I dont use any as I am on unlimited. But I do read on many websites APNdroid is the most popular and highly recommended. I install 3G watchdog just to monitor my usage which every month is slightly below 3GB

So if you didn't use GoogleCheckout, how do you plan to pay for your apps ?? Actually safe or not is entirely up to you to decide. I only can tell you from my experience buying and selling on the web for the past 10 years, I have no problems. My first choice is always PayPal and when buying stuffs I try to use Ebay as is most secure and reliable. Refunds are reliable too - got my money back within 10 days. I tried to avoid retail online sites that request me to key in credit card details unless they are established and reputable eg Amazon, Clove UK, Expansys UK

I don't think there is any ROM that does 720p video cam recording at the moment.

With regards to the noisy sound....ya i got that too. Not from recording but realized it while playing with Talking Tom Cat game software for my kids.

What happens is it failed to recognize the voice and hence stopped repeating our speech.

I realized later this is because the mic was too sensitive picking up background sound in evo based kernels. I found the solution in [SOLVED] Background noise fix / mic gain fix and now my problem solved.
