WP7 looks snappy. Hehe.

@icy I've used froyostone too, u never had problem switching between 2f and 3g band.. however ppp still is not too good, I often get disconnected from the internet connection. But just use a toggle widget to turn off and on again and u r good to go! No big deal.. froyostone is the only Rom with stock sense, other than mattc sense, which completely sucks ass.. lol..

Anyway, mdeejay has the latest version out, give it a try! Or if u want stock sense interface, choose a evo Rom, but in my case, WiFi tethering doesn't work. Or just take a nexus Rom and put on launcher pro.. hehe.. miui is good too.. kinda like iOS

Thanks..i will try it now.. biggrin.gif...currently downloading Mdeejay FroYo HD v.3.5.1 now ><

This is HD version based on HTC Desire HD : the camera does not work. If you want a full working version, try Mdeejay Sense 3.0 ( based on latest Froyo build )

mytown: StocK ROM v1.66, radio 2.10, MdeejayFroyo Sense 2.4.2 NextSense

Mdeejay FroyoSense http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=780525

I previously have been using Froyostone v1, v2, v3.1 it was stable build but the issue on drop data connection really frustrate me. Hence i have been hunting for alternative. Initially thought to be radio rom problems but despite changing each radio rom from 2.15-2.14 to others, the problems persist.

With this MdeejayFroyo Sense 2.4.2 NextSense, so far it has been good and there is no drop data connection and changing from wifi to mobile data did not hang. Everything is functioning smoothly.

Now my wish is there will be new release on Desire HD rom with working camera soon, then i am good to go for it. Already registered with HTCsense.com, can't wait to utilize the functions.

i have never flashed my phone that much in my life, these are the several problems i encountered

most of my experiments involved using the MIRI windows rom with various test builds of androids.

but from my experiences
Froyostone roms are relatively stable but noted problems are like the rest of the forummers here

1) internet connection drops VERY often
2) incall volume is very difficult to control as it seems to stay MAX all the time and it's too loud to hold near the ear
3) performance benchmarking on quadrant is 955 only but the performance ain't sluggish at all even with live wallpaper on
4) GPS worked once!
5) camera app is usable
6) battery gauge indicator is not accurate in the phone information page (irregardless of your actual phone indicator on the info bar, it stays exactly at half in the phone information page)
7) battery life dropped by 10% on standby for the entire night, 8 hrs or so..( acceptable to me still )

NexusHD2-FRG83
v1.3 (Froyo 2.2.1) (12.10.2010)

1) performance is really really fast based on the benchmark on quadrant
2) i had 'robotic' voice with the use of miri's roms..tried upgrading and downgrading the radio rom...no luck
3) touch screen freezes from time to time and touch wasn't as sensitive compared to other builds (sometimes it responds, sometimes it doesn't)
4) wifi and data was stable didn't manage to try it long enough as the robotic voice on calls made the rom unusable to me
5) GPS doesn't work
6) camera app works fine

Mdeejay Froyo Sense
Series (14.10.10)

1) voice calls work and the volume control for the voice calls is much better and controllable albeit it fluctuates from time to time
2) wifi is stable and data connection did freeze when i multitasked too much in marketplace
3) music playback stutters while you are doing other things and it's playing in background
eg: browsing through menu and stuff
4) radio works
5) GPS doesn't work it seems
6) overall usability is smooth and responsive (kinetic scrolling could be more responsive as u need to sweep really by a large margin across the screen to make things 'fly')
7) had a problem with the preinstalled apps, even if u uninstalled them they would come back after a reboot (solution was to actually remove the installation files from the application folder itself) as it seems to auto execute each time the rom is resetted from a boot.
8) camera app needs to be fixed, pictures taken are worse than the other 2 builds i have used..
9) quadrant scores are slightly lower than nexus one 2.2+ but performance wise it's lacking slightly than the 2 other builds, i would rate froyostone's performance to be the best in terms of usability and fluidity, but nexus one's rom is indeed the fastest for performance but is marred by its non responsive touch + screen freeze

this is just purely my own experience as i dont' see many people talking about it here in the forum...hope it helps =)

i'm running on RELOADED 2 •• WWE 3.14 Core •• Oct 08 •• + <<Mdeejay FroYo Sense>> + 2.15.50.14 radio now... still testing =)

Keagan : THe GPS works excellent in all the roms that you have tested and other roms. I think your GPS is a isolated issue

So far in all the roms I have tested, I rarely has screen freeze issue ( it do happen once a while, meaning not even noticeable ) - I also do not understand why quite several users has complain about this. I guess is related to the SD card issue. I am using a class 6 card TEAM brand ( before that was a 8GB Sandisk class 4 )

The only rom until now I NEVER had screen freeze is the MIUI rom. It is also the fastest and most stable rom I have tested

Drop off internet connections I agree is more obvious on Froyostone, so I stop testing his. Try also to use RMNET versions if available. I have even replaced the zimage file ( taken from other RMNET roms ) to those PPP roms. It helps on reducing if not eliminating the drop off in internet connections

So far the only thing I am not happy with all the android roms is battery life. But since it is running off from the SD card, I do understand the higher consumption. Previously, on average my HD2 on WM , battery will drop by about 10 % ( 11 pm to 7 am ) but on Androids it ranges from 30 to 40 % !! It is however not a major issue as I have 2 spare batteries

Hope there will be a nand boot soon, it might solve all the problem like screen freezes etc? lol..

I experienced screen freezes but very minor ones. Not serious enough to bother me.. em.. maybe you guys should try to use the format tool benny gave.. it works for me. Eliminated screen freezes from my mdeejay Rom

Hi,
By flashing with many different ROMs, I found certain builds will come with many beautiful (static) wallpapers compare to others. Is anyone can advise how to save/export/extract the wallpapers?
Thanks.

Hi all,

I just want to share my experience with Mdeejay 3.6 build with r7.4. The build is perfect (except carema which likely to resolve soon), wifi log in the very fast. After upgade the Kernel to r7.4 _TEST-TS_LAG, the scrolling lag in almost gone (in fact I did notice it on r7.4 after watching youtube). Well it is not as fast as my WM6.5 but it is the faster till date. Tyr it and you will love it. The battery life is also very very good. 100% charge at 1am and by 7am, it only drop to 98%. I will monitor the battery life with the new kernel and report back.
