well so far i didnt' experience such problems. smile.gif
the only problem i faced was with applications that needed sd card to be unmounted in order to be installed, then i can restore it with titanium backup. other than that it works great!

Some notes on Titanium Backup:

1. Restoring back on same rom is perfect

If you are restoring to a different rom or different build ( same rom ) , you can choose just to restore everything . In principle, your system files of the new rom will not be overwritten. To have a 100 % perfect restore in such rom, it is better to untick all the red highlighted. This is usually what I do.
You can also select the specific red highlighted items if you wish to restore back your emails, sms, mms, bookmarks - I will usually do this after I have restore back

If you wish to restore from Android ver 1.6 or 2.1 to ver 2.2 , then I'd suggest you restore your data ( email, SMS, MMS, bookmarks etc ) using Titanium with care. I noticed some roms will hang. For such I'd recommend you use MyBackup just to restore the data only - I find it more reliable than Titanium

@benny, for MIUI rom beta5, why cant i go into "sd and phone storage" settings? it force closes. so i cant unmount my sd card to install angry birds on it. any advise? thanks

btw, i cant get data on this rom too. but the G/E/H icon is there. just no data. APN is configured automatically, should i reset the settings? or em any better solution?

How's your feedback on this version?

I tried it. though the data drop problems resolved but new problems arises.

1) while booting into android from WM, occasionally blue screen came up and stop there.
2) wake up from sleep causes freeze in dark screen.

both problems are not consistent. However, already twice freezes upon waking up within 4 hours.

looks like i am gonna stick with mdeejay froyo sense series for time being.

MIUI BETA 5 has problems ; dont use it - use the beta 4 version. Everything works. USE MCCM version 2 if you want to use MIUI b5

Yes!! it is cut and paste and overwriting the existing files . You are free to try different kernel but i have chosen the one recommended by darkstone.
After changing the kernel to hastarin r7.6, Froyostone 3.2 never freezes.... brows.gif

I reboot frequently about 20x over the last 5 hours, it failed to load twice. Not too bad i presume. Both without blue screen. I am using bootloader to boot into android from WM.

Hence......i am switching back to froyostone 3.2 from mdeejay froyo sense series.

Froyostone is faster comparing mdeejay froyosense in UI. I have a feeling that the battery is also better for froyostone.

There is no drop in data connection since the time of usage.

So far i am happy with froyostone 3.2 icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif

Hello, I had confusion here whether should I choose the T-mobile HD2 (1024MB of ROM) or the normal HD2 which comes with the 512MB ROM.

Does bigger ROM like T-mobile ones gives more space for custom ROM(s) and advantages compared to the normal HD2?

for custom WM roms yes, it has more phone storage.
for android builds i dont think so, it has nothing to do with android phone storage.

*based on my logic, but i think i got it right, pls correct me if im wrong okay =P

Correct. The android is installed on sd card. For the hd2 tmous model with different rom size, just make sure the correct hspl version is installed or the phone will endue as a expensive paperweight
