Sory if i'm posting this on the wrong post.
I'm really interested in getting the HD2 + Android and in the process of information gathering hope u all can give me some insight to these question 1-does HD2 + Android suitable for daily usage? 2-Are there any problems/bug? I've done some research at xda forum and from what i can read the roms usually have some problems/bug etc cannot read ebook, wifi problem ... eyeing on the Desire HD Rom 3-Are there any roms that could do everything without any miss features? 4-Are 3D Games playable?how about the performance? 5-Should i wait for desire HD? I really like BIG phones like HD2, EVo and Desire HD so any other phone doesnt cut it Thanks for your input, sorry again if this post is not suitable |

Depends on rom release, bugs is quite bear'able, this is normal in rom development because it wont come perfect as original. Try to have a look on each rom release whats working and whats not. Ive achieve similar usage like winmo in winmo with proper tweaks. Android somekind has 'hardware accelerated ready' coz video playback is better and smoother like coreplayer, 3D games is does working without drivers. I think HD2 was built with Android friendly because when playing with 'Evo' rom, performance is VERY good. |

benny, before i try android on my hd2, i hav few questions wan to ask u:-
a) all the software, flash data, rom version & etc is free?bcaz hav pda shop wan to charge me rm100 for change my hd2 to android with reason they said wan to buy a new rom version, android os, etc frm some where. b) can i easily change back to original win6.5 after my hd2 had converted to android? c) after i flash my hh2 to android os (wit follow intrustion you sharing here).can my hd2 still using win 6.5? i mean double os in my hd2.something like hav an icon for me to switch which os (win 6.5 or android) i wan to use. d) after i flash my hd2 to android os. is mean all internal main memory is become zero (0)? is mean my hd2 will no more have any memory and the main memory in hd2 was replaced by sd card (sd card will become as main memory)? since main memory had replaced by sd card. so i not allow to unplug my sd card, am i right? reason for question (d) is bcaz that pda shop told me like this. so, to make sure they are not lie me. i hav to ask you for confirmation. e)until nw android os in hd2 stable to use? which version of rom or data tht use to flash is more less problem? sorry for my bad english. can i hav you contact no.?so when i facing problem during flashing my hd2 to android, i can ask you directly. tq This post has been edited by wira_se: Oct 11 2010, 05:33 PM |

I'm using android for a few weeks now and if possible i dont mind clearing off my WM entirely. android is so much better to use. |

Wira : if the shop want to charge you is OK since is business to them BUT they are dishonest telling you lies. THey should be honest saying the RM 100 is service fee.
I have received several PM's asking me to do and they were willing to pay me but in all cases I advised them just follow my guidelines I have given. It is not difficult, just need some reading up, and care PDA Gadzet is a reputed seller and I am really suprised. Next time you go there, you should talk to the boss about this. I believe is his staff's mistake or ignorance telling customers such reasons Most of us at this thread do it ourself. Save the RM 100 and buy yourself some nice stuffs instead tocomplement your phone. RM 100 can have up to 20 meals nasi kandang Just PM me or post here any issues/difficulty you face This post has been edited by benny888: Oct 11 2010, 06:00 PM |

hi guys, new hd2 user
benny, gotta give a big kudos to you for ur front page guides..i got everything up and running without much hiccups...currently running on Miri HD2 WM6.5 (21916) ROM :: V 19.1 + FroyoStone Sense - Version 3.1 .. however quadrant shows my device is only at 955...which is a far cry from your 1346..what could i have done wrong? hmm...but so far the device is running as i hoped..if not better...i'm quite happy with the results.. btw i'm on a sandisk class 2 4gb... could it be the reason why i'm hitting such low scores? QUOTE(keagan @ Oct 12 2010, 04:49 AM) hi guys, new hd2 user Great. Do not fret too much about the Quadrant scores. I have come to realize it is more practical to feel the performance by one's experience rather than basing on these figures.benny, gotta give a big kudos to you for ur front page guides..i got everything up and running without much hiccups...currently running on Miri HD2 WM6.5 (21916) ROM :: V 19.1 + FroyoStone Sense - Version 3.1 .. however quadrant shows my device is only at 955...which is a far cry from your 1346..what could i have done wrong? hmm...but so far the device is running as i hoped..if not better...i'm quite happy with the results.. btw i'm on a sandisk class 2 4gb... could it be the reason why i'm hitting such low scores? My Samsung Galaxy S scores an amazing 2150 but loses out in performance even to my Dell Streak ( 876 ) , HD2 ( latest MIUI 1710 ) and previous Nexus ( 1515 ) The speed of the SD class will affect especially on issues of sometimes screen freeze ; this is because the android rom is executed from the card. So speed of read-wrire access will affect it. Even on actual Android phones that runs on Froyo v2.2 Google recommend a class 6 card. Personally I dont see much difference yet so far between class 4 and class 6 ( both I use ) but I do believe a class 2 could be too slow This post has been edited by benny888: Oct 12 2010, 08:18 AM |
