i heard maxis sometimes give hidden charges to their customers, like the phone bills and such..
my question is, would it be the same for this promo? could I incur any hidden charges?

After two trips to TTDI maxis, I signed up today =D
just would like to share what the sales person said
1. Quota implemented in June. =x 2. A IPTV thingy is coming, and its coming this friday? (Announcing this friday) A free device will be sent to your home. (Meaning people who sign up now, can still enjoy the IPTV pack)
Anyway this is my interpretation on what the sales person said, and might be just bullshit.

Then it's too perfect gift for those who signed up recently under 118 promo...hope I could merge current astro channel into IPTV and cheaper when do so.

NO such thing (hidden charges, extra charge..etc) Fibre broadband is very direct, unlike mobile. And for everyones knowledge, external content provider (ECP) at times mysteriously creep and crawl into postpaid bills, not just Maxis but other mobile operators too. Imagine it as the ECP asking you permission, and if you say yes, they can start to charge you even when the mobile operator is not aware about it... Very creepy indeed... Thank God, this has now been controlled and some of the ECP even brought to court already
