received call from maxis today, setting the installation date on 25/6/2012. Jaring days are counting.....

not quite.. i applied yesterday at maxis exclusive partner (considered agent), today received call from maxis, they set installation on 25/6/2012

How long would it take from the time I apply to the time they come and set it up in my house?

so lucky ha. i just got the call from maxis today
said they going to install on 4th july. asked them to change to earlier date and they said going to check available slot but i bet they going to stick to 4th july.

anyone using maxis home more than a year? how's stability? TQ

i got called yesterday to inform me installation today 2:30/3pm or later date..

all the installation start on 3 finish about 5pm..

now still trying to abuse 10Mbps..

guys i suggest to you all to read the T&C on Maxis website very carefully 1st before applying. I myself was thinking of applying for this Maxis fiber optic and decided to read the T&C and some of the terms is kinda unacceptable to me. Just like the term jktlee has highlighted, and while it looks simple it has tons of implications on your network system.
For example I plan to have a 24/7 server on my home network, but if Maxis is going to make me open my network for people to use then I have a very weak point on my network already open for compromise pretty much legally.

how to know if we getting private or public IP?

The maxis come with one music and pc protection. Question is the one music services last forever or until i download reach rm192:-)? Can i set caller ringtone on my maxis fixed line? How many devices i can connected to my account? What kind of pc(only pc? No android or OSX?) protection they gave that worth rm192?
Any warranty given for the modem and phone? What happen if the modem strike with :thunderstorms ?help:

it sounds scary..but when u think of it, try to go to any of ur friends' house (who uses maxis home fibre) n try to search those so called "maxis hotspot"

seems there is a catch here

Truth is, telco companies can't detect the usage and it is not updated real time, unlike your usage here. And there is the general perception that telcos make big money through this, but actually, the bulk of it goes to the foreign telco operators....

To anybody out there, please check with your telco providers b4 u go overseas and find out the data/call rates. Some of them offer fixed rate for daily unlimited data usage, from around RM40/day.

Well, teach you all 1 very good trick here.
Each telco provides Call Forwarding service, right?
1. Once you are overseas already, purchase a brand new simpack and get the phone number.
2. Key in the overseas new prepaid number into your Call Forwarding settings number. (Prior to this, you must of course activate this feature. For Maxis, it cost RM3/month).
3. All calls to your phone number is now routed to your overseas new prepaid number. By doing this, the outgoing calls from your ori phone number will be cheap (because it will be considered as making an IDD calls, for Maxis, we have IDD 132 rates which are as low as RM0.10/minute!!!!!) and receiving calls on your overseas new prepaid number is free!!!
4. Once back to Malaysia, cancel the Call Forwarding service and make sure you remove the Call Forwarding settings number or not you won't be receiving any calls at all!!! LOL
