I was in Maxis Center KLCC yesterday.
the guy told me if i register now, will probably have to wait till July for the installation.
guess this deal is very HOT at the moment.

then i asked him if i apply within the promotion period and have it installed much later, say Sept, and then cancel my application more than 3 days before the actual installation, he said it's OK and there won't be any charges.

can anyone verify this?
i want the speed, but dont really need it NOW.
suppose something better coming our way later???
let's see how TM respond.

another question the rep cant answer is, if IPTV is rolled out at the end of June as rumored, will it have dedicated bandwidth or shared with the 10Mbps?

for unifi, i know it's 5M+8M (IPTV) for the RM149 package.
correct me if i'm wrong.

how much nett we need to pay monthly btw if no exceed any free quota?
izzit plus 6% gov tax so monthly statement would be 118x1.06 = RM125.10 ?
*
RM 118 didn't include 6%government tax?
I saw some advertise it did post "as low as RM 128" but the plan is RM 118, anyone with any maxis fibre plan can clarify this ? I switching from P1 to maxis promo, P1 has no hidden charges...
What does free minutes on maxis mobile 150 means? And what the rate for TM fixed line number

Sure, its the same person

Added on May 26, 2012, 12:08 amBtw guyz, jz a quick drop of info

Q1
What IF quota is implemented? Speed will be throttled?

IF AND ONLY if quota is implemented, then yes, speed will be throttled, to 512kbps. That being said, there WON'T be extra charges of any sorts if you use extra. Instead, you speed will be throttled only

Q2
I have a cool, funky modem that I want to use instead of the standard Thompson one given by Maxis. Is it possible?

Yes, it is possible. Our only concern is you will accidentally mess up the cables (fibre optic is SENSITIVE) or the settings within. If you are IT savvy and know what you are doing, by all means, configure it according to your preference! :-)
That being said, Thompson router is actually quite good, so for a start, I suggest you try it out first for some time before deciding to swap?
Last but not least, I will be outstation for the weekend!!! So, no collection of reg forms for the weekend. Will only be able to do so on Monday onwards. Oh yeah, limited internet access too, so replies will only be at night.

Enjoy your weekend!!

what the hell? 512kbps? even though they said it's unlimited for the moment but when enough users are using it, i'm 100% sure they WILL throttle the speed and there is NO POINT whatsoever to get this line because 100gb quota isn't enough to download anything, i will finish it within 3-4 days, and the rest of it is a pathetic 512kbps which is more pathetic than streamyx. if they set the limit to 1mbps at least it's acceptable

I believe if unifi no implement the quota, maxis definitely will not, because this will be hard for maxis to sell their FTTH anymore.

in another words, if you see maxis start to throttle the speed, u will see that in unifi too.

so compare the plan

VIP5 - 60GB quota - RM149
VIP10 - 90GB quota - RM199
FTTH10 - 100GB quota - RM218

and now FTTH10 is at promotion rate RM118 (and i believe this special promo will end very soon)
