yeah, maxis will likely follow TM as they have to be competitive in the market..
if i'm the one who decides on the FUP, i will implement after unifi had implement theirs..
but as for now, the % of FTTH users in malaysia is very low (like 20-30% only)

how long does it take to terminate my phone line and internet ( tmnet, streamyx )
*
You have to walk into any TMPoint to terminate Streamyx + Phone line.
Possibly take at least 1 week (GLC style working pace) and plenty of follow-up.

This is what Maxis FTTH CS told me :

1.  i have fulfilled the min 12 mths contract on my current package, so I'm surely eligible to upgrade to the 10Mbps/$118 package without any penalty..

2.  I get to keep my public IP setup

3.  I need to walk in to Maxis Centre to signup!  (this is crap..can't they just do it online?  Ain't we in the digital age now??)

4.  No quota as of now.

Well, I don't mean to be nuts, for those who wonders when will the cap be implemented, and what will be the outcome if you hit the cap later etc. etc.... I doubt even TM can tell u and give you the confirmation!  So, just relax and signup if you think M gives u what you want...

At least I'm gonna enjoy the 10Mbps next week or sooner!

You submitted your form?
I been the garden maxis centre to change to 10mbps.
They will terminate my 6mbps and register new 10mbps. waive penalty fee.

But need to wait for installation (i think configuration)
They told me service will interrupt during terminate and new installation period.
But they not call me for installation date yet

How are yours?
Installation date set?

Hi,
I don't think there is any installation required at our home, they just need to reconfigure their server to take effect the new change.. Nope, I'm still on my 6Mbps.. With the overwhelming response I think it will take a while to see our line gets upgraded...

If ever quotas are implemented how much would it cost to switch from the Rm118 10Mbps home internet to the Rm188 4Mbps business package? And would it be considered an upgrade or a downgrade?

not to say plenty la..
but 70% of my family uses maxis, and we have relatives in Singapore, Indonesia..
so the free calls bundled will help to reduce the overseas call charges significantly!! thumbup.gif
