QUOTE(gengstapo @ Aug 16 2011, 10:37 AM) Relax la bro, that only apply on stress time later in normal life, sure cant hit 95c.. Ive done few times stress & my i7 also reach such temp. but until now, it still kicking But, your i7 voltage kinda high IMO. Mine 4.23Ghz need 1.312v only.. i've already set to 1.3v before the test...well...mebbe its the LLC doing its job

QUOTE(antonio @ Aug 16 2011, 08:52 AM) Yap...DOMGT not that expensive nowadays...but that DOM isnt the 2000C7 ones...its the 2000C8-9-8 or 2133C9-10-10 U rite, if compare to last time sure can consider very cheap, but I still prefer upgrade other things such as SSD or GC if I got money QUOTE(antonio @ Aug 16 2011, 10:41 AM) i've already set to 1.3v before the test...well...mebbe its the LLC doing its job So the voltage not drop? I on LLC but the voltage still drop after boot and drop a bit when full stressing

Reading this thread reminds me of DFI's promise to release a program called Smart PWM for their boards. Until now, it's no where to be seen. Piff

On the fly control of voltage and phases. From the advertisement they made, users can see the current draw from each PWM phase live in Windows.

DFI mobos are prone to RMA. Giving chance to fully take control of PWM phase on hand of end users is wrong & deteriorate the situation.

gskill ripjawsX in action on x58..running in tripple channel memory mode... achieve 4k uncore with only 1.28cpu/vtt.. .. however, this is on XMP profile, i just got it from the shop..it doesn't guarantee stability, will perform some test later.. but, to achieve this uncore clock with auto QPI/v is superb man..

Can x58 run with 5 sticks of RAM?
Edit: I tested and it works. However, the x58 documentation does not include 5 module operation. Just in case someone needs the idea how to put the modules:
Three modules: 0-1-0-1-0-1 Four modules : 1-1-0-1-0-1 Five modules : 1-1-0-1-1-1 (NOT 1-1-1-1-0-1)
In 4 or 5 module operation, x58 will still operate in triple channel mode. Unlike some claims in forums that x58 will fallback to single/dual channel.

Same size or different?? my rams probably reach today 4GB CVR x 3 probably reach today...so might poke it all to get 16GB btw, nothing to do this morning... http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1966315

Board: DFI LANParty DK X58-T3eH6 All are 2GB DDR1333 module. Although different batch, different size, and a different brand. Maybe I need to look for a piece of 2GB module to complete the 6 slots. If only I can find another piece for RM22 again. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Aug 24 2011, 10:58 AM
