QUOTE(gengstapo @ Jul 5 2011, 09:16 AM) You could read the tread there. Prime95 not really stressing i7 I think. Plus, we all here use LinX for stressing purpose. For Core 2 family, Prime95 might relevant.. Ic, thats why I see all the taiko here use LinX I will try it later, coz right now still priming.. already more than 8 hours stable.. hehe |

QUOTE(farkey @ Jul 5 2011, 08:31 PM) Hi everyone, This thread is for i7 LGA1366 & X58 Overclocking discussion bro, for hardware recommendation, better u ask herefirst of all i want to say that im a newbie I have purchased my equipment, below is the list : 1. Casing Mid Tower 2. 1200 Watt Power Supply Unit 3. Hydro Cooling System for Processor 4. DDR 3 12GB (3x4gb) with 2000mhz 5. SSD 120GB +120 GB+320GB = 640GB --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not purchase yet : 1. MOBO 2. Processor 3. Quad Sli GC ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- since this is my first time building gaming rig and i never do OC in my life before...i would like to ask all experienced ppl in this forum, what is the good combination for the processor and mobo so i can OC and will explicitly guarantee can run my memory @ 2000 MHz i already do research on google and it seems lot people having trouble to run the ddr3 @ 2000 MHZ lot of them have trouble with the voltage ? blue screen ? etc... so if any of you guys can give a recommendation i would very appreciate it... thats all |

QUOTE(selfdz87 @ Jul 13 2011, 04:23 PM) Don't be like that la, I'm just starting to used it, still finding a correct timing for my ram Do you mind if I ask a question, how you guyz find a correct timing/sub-timing for ram? I'm using Kingston HyperX T1 2000, running@ 1750 @7-8-7-20-1N , Memtest stable for 10 passed. Comment please |

Ic, I thought if rated at 2k can easily achieve 2k ram speed, have no idea about IMC playing a role too, thanks for the info
BTW, what software u guys used for stressing ram? LinX? |

@monsh
what happen to ur pc? got struck by lightning ka? I think u rite lar about hyperX, can't achieve ram 2k n uncore 4k, u think is bcoz of the ram, not the mobo or processor? Already set vcore-1.37 vtt-1.4 bclk-200 multiplier-21, also tried 19 but no improvement ----- edited when u changed to dom gt, u still used the same mobo n processor rite? QUOTE(owikh84 @ Jul 21 2011, 10:19 AM) Depends on what BSOD code is, mostly occured if voltage pumped isnt enough. Give it more juice especially vcore n vtt. Only good batch can clock 2k dram 4ghz uncore with vtt 1.4v. CPU with a weak IMC would draw more vtt. Thanks,List of BSOD code is posted in my other SB OC thread. Good luck! It give 0x124 bsod code, maybe not enough vcore or vtt? I think 1.37vcore and 1.4vtt is scary enough, So from your experience, it is safe to pump more with just used air cooling.. Need your opinion 1st b4 taking further step, don't want to fried my mobo ---- QUOTE BTW, 3GB on Crysis1, confirm PC hang during gameplay. Never try b4, why? is it confirm? QUOTE(owikh84 @ Jul 21 2011, 11:26 AM) BSOD 124 on LGA1366 is related to insufficient VTT. SB is vcore. Damn, I think I'll just try to maximize as high as possible, rite now uncore 3.5k already need 1.34vtt, quite high, but my vcore only 1.2v Air cooling can handle uptil 1.4v only. Core & uncore speeds also will affect core temps. Ive played Crysis with 3x1GB before. Task manager shows 2.5GB used for this game. Then straight upgrade to 6GB, no more sudden crash. You got good gc, sure syok playing crysis -- edited: 2 pieces gtx580 This post has been edited by aLWAYStHEsAME: Jul 22 2011, 10:00 AM |

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Aug 1 2011, 08:23 AM) Well done guys both are very nice. ThanksaLWAYStHEsAME should linX at least 20 runs. With a better cooler say wc or in AC environment i believe u guys can do 4.3GHz HT ON. Btw i heard that Corsair H100 is abt 10C+ better than H5O so let's give it a try. Since I can't get 4k uncore stable, so I just want to find as closed as possible with minimum voltage, will try 20 run soon Already tried HT on and not stable for this voltage, need to pump more, but I'm so lazy to test Just found one of the reviews for H100, looks like perform well but the price sure high QUOTE(gengstapo @ Aug 1 2011, 08:32 AM) Nahh, mine still runnin' fine here. Goin' strong everyday.. Lolzzz Glade to hear that, at least I can make more test in peace No budget allocated for WC setup, just goin' with TRUE here Me too, just using ur TRUE siblings, Venomos BTW I notice ur GFLOPs quite high compare to mine, was that bcoz of vcore? |

QUOTE(antonio @ Aug 16 2011, 08:52 AM) Yap...DOMGT not that expensive nowadays...but that DOM isnt the 2000C7 ones...its the 2000C8-9-8 or 2133C9-10-10 U rite, if compare to last time sure can consider very cheap, but I still prefer upgrade other things such as SSD or GC if I got money QUOTE(antonio @ Aug 16 2011, 10:41 AM) So the voltage not drop? I on LLC but the voltage still drop after boot and drop a bit when full stressing |
