last time i tried to push up to 1.5v on my i7 but nvr tried 24/7 setup last time dun have full mobo waterblock . even at 1.5v my temp would only reach 87C lidat .
now with full mobo block, got xtra 3 components cooled down . mosfet, NB, SB . even at 1.35v, its reaching 83C on linX .

how many rad did you use..?? is quite hot imo.. my temp never reach 75 on 24/7 use..i'm using triple rad for the cpu, another dual for the GPU.. another question, did you manage to get 4k uncore and 2k on rams speed..??..notice the GT's you use on your siggy.. ..if so, what's the cpu/vtt..?

quad rad . HWlab black ice xtreme GTX480
i managed to run 2k and uncore 4k .
but the problem is my proc . IMC not good . not strong enough .
require 1.45vtt 1.375vCore .
very high man . that's y im having high temp . mostly i can think of is bcos of the MOSFET producing lotsa heat from the 1.45v .

QUOTE(owikh84 @ May 22 2011, 10:45 PM) i dont think its the processor.. i think its either mobo, ram or PSU.. try to check the PSU.. if the PSU is okay, try using just a single ram if the rams are okay, then might just be your mobo short circuit or something.. this could happen if theres alot of dust.

QUOTE(monsh @ May 21 2011, 03:58 PM) he's on r3e as well . for VTT its QPI/DRAM or something like that vDimm is ram voltage . i can go 4.4 but i dunno how much vCore i need to push even now requires a lot edi . my room feels like sauna >.<" adding waterblock for r3e really increases the temp like hell ! no choice but to maintain at 4.2 >.<" first,is ok to push to 1.65 for vDimm?i tried and the value indicate yelow (danger zone)?same goes for for vTT.. any harm? and one more..the more unclock frequency we had,the more perfomance we get? higher unlock freq will make an oc less stable?

not really sure but what's for sure is that the uncore must be double the frequency of ram .
im running at 1.65 . so far no problem although its not really recommended iinm . its hot actually >.<" try to have active cooling on it .

understood but if i wan oc my RAM to 2k from my stoc speed (1600),wat i need to do is increase the vDimm oni?or must increase oso the QPI/vTT?

increase vtt say 1.4v 1st...if not stable try increase notch by notch then... loosen the timing to cl9 assuming u have hyper-x in hand... vdimm try set 1.6v mybe??then only increase notch by notch if not stable....

its up to u actually . if u know how it would scale, then its a good idea to start from bottom up .
i normally put at the loosen timing + 1.65v + 1.45v vtt
well technically, u need to increase the uncore freq to at least double the ram freq
if u want to clock d ram, u must also increase uncore which means increment in qpi/vtt voltage .
