Wow. Almost 1.6v. I wonder what is your load temp.
yes quite hot. maximum temp will reach 92'c. But after I lower down the vcore to 1.5v, the CPU will become unstable then BSOD.
Its almost 2 months I'm using my computer with these settings. My computer was placed in my bedroom with room temperature of 20'c.
Currently at this level, with vcore 1.6v + HT + 4.32GHz. My CPU can pass 3DMark 11 CPU test 5 and Combine test 6 without problem.
My RAM is 2000Mhz but only can reach 1800MHz with X.M.P overclocking mode.
But usually the CPU won't keep at that temp for long term. Besides, its depend more on GPU for gaming. Usually will not loading much on CPU.
I'm using Corsair H50 but I was replaced the thermal grease with tuniq tx-2. Previously I'm replaced with tuniq tx-4 but my CPU was not stable and keep BSOD and reboot.
The stock H50 thermal pad can only make my CPU overclock to 4.2GHz but my RAM able to overclock until 2100MHz. But after I replaced with Tuniq TX-2, my CPU can overclock until 4.32GHz but RAM have to decrease to 1800MHz since it was linked with CPU with XMP mode.
My H50 have 2 fans but not 1 fan. I was added another 2000rpm CoolerMaster fan to another side of radiator. However, the fan will become noisy when CPU loading. Therefore, I was bought a Lamptron FC5 to adjust the CM fan to around 1000~1100rpm.
