QUOTE(yanhui95 @ Sep 10 2014, 11:10 PM) thinking of taking three or vodafone, i guess it depends what your mates are using for the free calls. most campuses are fully wifi equipped so unlimited data shouldn't be such of a concern anyway. Yup, that's the general idea. I plan on taking the cheapest package possible since it's gonna be wifi all the way if possible.QUOTE(tianqi @ Sep 10 2014, 11:56 PM) Thanks |

the original copy of the TB test result needs to be submitted during biometrics appointment right?
i wonder if we required to furnish it once we are landed at the airport. Should a photostat copy of the original report suffice? |

QUOTE(liew_jls @ Sep 11 2014, 04:50 AM) Call back to malaysia, i would use skype instead of mobile phone. Agree, I used Skype also when I went there to study few years ago.Nottingham trent NTU? nice and fab place to stay. you will never get boring and don't expensive place to stay. probably things have been changed. been there few years back. but it's bit pain in the arse when u going to back malaysia because 3++ hours from heathrow to nottingham. overall, my experience, between cambridge, nottingham, london and bristol, nottingham still is my fav place to stay. have fun! Thanks for the comment! You prefer Nottingham over Bristol huh, cool. I stayed in Bristol for a year during my bachelor degree study, and I actually quite enjoyed staying there. Now I'm looking forward to at least visit Nottingham, if not studying at there. |

call me paranoid, but just wanna make sure once you've received email that your visa is dispatched and ready to collect, it usually means your application is successful right ? from what i heard rejection cases for UK visa application is kinda rare... unlike US.. correct ? |

You prefer Nottingham over Bristol huh, cool. I stayed in Bristol for a year during my bachelor degree study, and I actually quite enjoyed staying there. Now I'm looking forward to at least visit Nottingham, if not studying at there. I clearly enjoyed my time there lol! Close enough to London, not too tourist ridden like Bath, not too small/quiet a city. I used Skype too when I was there to call home. Used O2 prepaid, 10quid a month... Never ran out of data but then again I was using a Nokia phone... |

haha.. i'm not saying bristol is not the good. Just it's bit bigger that nottingham. you have to walk super far to get from a place to another place. Nottingham, it's bit more smaller and compact. for example, you can walk from bus station to train station for about 5-8 mins but in the bristol, you either need to drive/take bus/walk for 30-40 mins.
yes, it's close to london and has lots shops and place to hang around for example habourside. has nice view. another thing i like bristol because i don't need to travel to heathrow if i'm going back malaysia. i can take klm flight from bristol airport. save money and hassel. that's the best part! |
