Thank god I applied for a private accomodation. I get my own line and hence no angry flatmates bashing the wall telling me to switch off torrents. <3

Work placement is indeed hard to get one nowadays.. but no harm to give it a try  nod.gif

yeap. internship/working placement is depends on your luck. i was saying is, don't put too high hope for getting a internship offer. this even happen for applying graduate job. there's another alternative way is, check with your senior whether is there's any available position. this is called 'networking' way to get a job. in the mean time, go out work some part-time job (i'm not referring to take-away).

i submitted my visa application on 8th of Sept. gosh, i'm officially stressed and worried. i've absolutely no idea when i should buy my ticket. is it true that the visa application will be done within 8-10 working days? Thanks.
*
true. applying visa is horrible. all of us been through all those nightmare. My advice is, do you research on flight ticket. then u will know what airline and roughly know when u can fly. once you get your visa on hand, straigh away go and book the flight ticket. you don't need to waste the time for research cheap flight ticket when u get your visa. always prepare for the worse case, which your visa got reject (*touch wood*), then you know to do the next step. it's good if u hvn't book the flight ticket. otherwise, you will cry for not getting visa but you can't cancel your flight ticket. then now u have wait for quite a long time is it? are you checking on the website but don't hv any updated progress? there's few possibility, 1st, probably now is the peak time which sometimes it's going to take at least 20 working days to proccess. 2nd, probably their website is down/changed or what. my experience is, when u hv wait for 2 weeks, give them a ring, ask them to check for you. they maybe anwser your call with a lot bullshit, *cool down*, ask them nicely and tell them u have some problem with the website or something. plus a little bit joke to make them happy.

good luck guys. smile.gif

I was graduated from University of Birmingham. a nice campus to study. They have good and reputable lecturers /courses especially in geotechnical engineering.

traveling to north, south, east, west of uk are generally within 2-3 hrs, unless u talking about going to scotland

3MB + ... some people may have gotten the 50Mb Virgin package, but not many are willing to pay the price. Speed increase is only noticeable to US sites, otherwise if you're loading pages hosted in M'sia ... still same as TM Nut.

ah thanks. I've emailed my uni and they said the latest date i have to report is 8th of Oct. I hope i'm going to make it. fingercrossed. i just checked on the site, it says my application has been forwarded to the BHC. Btw, do you know how long are they going to take to send my passport to Sarawak? The guy asked me to write my address on the brown file. Is it reliable? Thanks.

Guys just got my Visa today. Have to wait for atleast 2 hours to get it!!! And they really pick at random. Doesn't necessary means that if u come early you get early. And they're a bit hectic with unsystematic ways of handling the whole thing!!!

guys...i got an urgent question.i just bought a rhb bankdraft for the visa application. the amount i bought is rm1055. however, when i go find my agent,he told me that if i want to send my visa back to my house,u'll need to add rm30 more. so the total amount should be rm1085 if i choose to send my visa back and rm1055 without sending my visa back.is it true? but i already bought the rm1055 rhb bankdraft. can i just buy another rm30 bankdraft if the total amount required is rm1085?btw,maybe this question is abit out of topic, can i cancel the bankdraft and get back the money within that day or can i buy another rm1085 bankdraft using the rm1055 bankdraft and add on another rm30??
