As promised G53/73jw will come with default 120hz 3d capable led display.
And... Good news i assume?
There's also some news on GTX 460m whereby it performs better than 5870m in some games. Benchies is out at here.
Still, most of us will be curious about the temps of the fermi under the stealth fighter chasis.
Wow, that's great! With 3D display, the lappy doesn't seem to be expensive. Just $1499 with a stock 3D display. Correct me if I'm wrong.. XD The only worry I have now is whether the G53 would be able to run 3D games or videos smoothly.. Any info?

Playing games with 3D vision enabled may be an issue. I've seen G60jv(GTS 360m equipped) ran RE5 benchmark below 10 fps. Yes, its totally unplayable. Games with 3D vision is a very gpu stressing in a way.

It should perform better than the 360m but I still say most of these 3D options will be a white elephant for most standard users. I already find 3D LCD TVs stupid due to the need for wearing glasses and carrying around a 3D capable gaming laptop around tops it. I can imagine myself in some cafe or Macdonald's gaming casually on my G73JH but I can't imagine myself in these public place donning a stereoscopic 3D glasses looking like some major dork geek
Overall if you are getting this option without any additional cost then go ahead and purchase it. If you already have the G73JH it is not worth the investment and time to change the notebook now. 3D technology is still at it's infancy and if this does not get adopted fast you will regret the investment you put into it. I still think they might develop something like in the movie "Paycheck" in the near future Now that's what I call 3D!
agree with viperion..3d just isnt tat fancy to me yet *diff ppl diff view*
imagine playin it at McD..some ppl hu noes bout how 3d looks like in monitor wud go like "WOW! that guy got 3d laptop :drools:"
some hu don really noe bout 3d wud go like "This guy is weird man, inside the shade still wanna wear sunglasses"
for some who are VERY outdated duno anything bout 3d "wah! how this guy play his laptop..so blurry and cacat-looking *slap head*"
XD..some of the scenario i may tink up *or maybe im the oni one hu tink this way*
-off-topic- i just received my gx660r! wanna do some review..wat shud i review on and what program for benchies?
Well you should do some un-boxing pictures/videos. Maybe a comparison between the gx660r and the G73JH. Your overall thoughts , value for money, etc. etc.

Hello guys, out of topic for a while.
I have uploaded my Logitech G700 gaming mouse unboxing video into YouTube.
I will do the review in 2 weeks time. So, please subscribe to me for more videos to come.
hai, just want to ask all Asus users opinion, it is worth for me to purchase the g53JW compare too G73??
What is your main aim for your future notebook? Mobility or . . . ?
Asus G53 IMHO is a decent gaming notebook too. It has the latest Fermi GPU by NVidia. Nevertheless, it is still a new GPU in the market. Thus, there are some potential buyers out there who are waiting for the benchmarks to come out 1st before they start to invest on this G73 junior.

Woots! Friendly thread hahaha..or probably someone can make it a lil bigger..host a lan party for all gaming notebook users
Yeah I was thinking of that too but I'm afraid my G73JH might become a distribution Kiosk for free softwares, LMAO! We could plan for something like that and probably drag Jeffrey's butt back down here to join us

Like Jefferey said it really depends on your requirements and preferences. I am an ATI fanboy even though they failed me this time with the 5870 of the G73JH but they can't take the blame wholly. It was also Asus fault for not working with ATI to ensure the GSOD issues was rectified quickly. If you are into the whole 3D thingy then it should be good for you
