just tried the a33, loving the EVF smile.gif but there is about 1 second lag to activate the EVF when u bring the EVF to eye level. The refresh rate of the EVF is very fast, it wont have ghosting/tearing effect when you moving the camera while looking through the EVF.
the local AF selection is quite easy, it is like the NEX, press the center button and you can choose the AF point.
the grip is abit small, cannot fit my pinkie, but not a major problem for me.
couldnt try the video mode as they dont have memory card in the camera. sad.gif

now i got stuck with my option whether to settle with NEX or A33.

btw, i got one question to ask regarding 18-55mm kit lens. When i tried this lens to take close up pic, the IQ appear to be quite bad. My friend told me this lens is not meant for close up. I like to take macro picture so wonder whether 18-55 is good enough without having macro lens.

ProX: a 'proper' macro lens will cost u around RM1k (second hand SP90) or more... or some cheaper alternatives like the 30mm or 50mm macro f2.8...
18-55 of course not for macro la. what u want to look for are those with 1:1 magnification. smile.gif (anything wrong here, sifus please feel free to correct me).

kuro0314: yes got, by Octopus IINM.

a550 better grip design+battery life... Other than that... maybe its OVF... other than that... a55 will be a better one, with GPS built in, higher burst rate, full hd movie recording with full AF... bla bla bla...
