A550 For SURE!!! Better LCD, Better Sensor, Better Noise Control, Better Grip design, Better Speed(very responsive), Better Battery Life(~950Shots compared to ~500 shots), Better better better... Shutter Priority mode (7fps) or just 5fps burst mode. The speed is totally "uncatchable" by a390. MF Live View~ The handy grip~ The weight~ I wish to own one... Hahahaha......

If you patient enough ... could go for the new A550 successor : A560, A580 or the slightly compact DSLR sizes A33, A55
Hmm... I have nothing but patience... Coz money is very very big problem for me, still a student though. Budget is not allocated, can't do anything also. I wouldn't have such a big amount of money in my account to buy a DSLR too. Waiting for permission from "my majesty"(my mum la...) Hahahaha...
We really do not know how they design the mirror box. Maybe they are making it possible to change the translucent mirror in the future (mirror accessories)? I don't know.
Argument is that if you can seal it well enough (in design), then there are less chances of dust going to the sensor, and there will be less need to clean the sensor. Maybe you only need to clean the sensor once a year instead of once after every outing, and you only need to send it in to Sony service centre to have it cleaned up (or Sony providing a mirror removing kit for cleaning purposes).
Maybe there's no need to clean the sensor but how about the translucent mirror? Don't forget that light does pass through it... Dust on it will also affect the image outcome. Maybe it's time for them to change the anti-dust system from sensor to the mirror. lol
a55 compare to my a300 - video capabilities (none on my a300) - faser fps (3vs10) - better iso control (up to 12800) - better af system (more af points and even better than a300) - smaller and lighter than my a300 - less buttons - evf vs ovf : better or worse?? - latest exmor cmos sensor better than my a300 ccd

Dinosaur(dunno how many millions years ago) vs Doraemon(The only thing i can think of, which came from future)... Doraemon sure win la... Btw, dpreview did comment on the evf. Go read it out. It's 1.14M dot... and packed into such a small size. I don't think our bare eyes can notice each pixel in it. It should be quite ok gua... My assumption... Dpreview say it's big, brighter bla bla bla... Something like that. finish the whole review.

pardon me, but will the SLT a55's semi-translucent mirror flips during the trigger of shutter?or it just becomes translucent to allow light to enter the sensor?
it's not becomes translucent but it's translucent all the time. That's why no mechanical shutter sound. Btw... Can the fake shutter sound be turned off???

i thought it's less than 500?? around 380. Sony use nex battery in it. hahaha... not very sure whether it's nex battery but i think i saw it somewhere. hahaha
a550 better grip design+battery life... Other than that... maybe its OVF... other than that... a55 will be a better one, with GPS built in, higher burst rate, full hd movie recording with full AF... bla bla bla...

hmm... he's asking which one is better mah... then i mean better from the way that it has gps, bla bla bla... it may not be necessary but it's definitely a bonus for a dslt/dslr. hahaha...

A560/580 not released yet. How to make comparison?? Even they have the same sensors(A560/A33 & A55/A580). But DSLT got 1/3 stop light loss disadvantage compared to DSLR. Dunno whether that will make a difference in IQ. hahaha...
hmm... that's what i'm thinking... i thought they're actually making fake shutter sound... Now i know there's still a piece of shutter over there... Hmm... How about LV? Anyone can explain more about shutter itself?? During LV, the piece of... shutter? or the green piece of thing?? is removed all the time or what? What about movie recording? Questions.
