QUOTE(zstan @ Aug 20 2010, 02:57 PM) Many indoor events in large stage like hall, I have tried using 135mm in fashion show ... but problem in fashion show is when they get close distance ( as they walk from far to near) with it I cant zoom out and it really time catching(because they keep changing post and position some how) ... I know some people can handle 200mm prime (some event photographer I saw they use it) but for me it is a question and how to crop close range with long focal lens? I felt like really bad using long focal lens T.T (as sometimes I was require to get half body close up in long distance)This post has been edited by wingster: Aug 20 2010, 03:07 PM |

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Aug 20 2010, 10:51 PM) hurmm ... any other recommendation for wide angle prime lens? If budget wise for bright aperture Wide Angle I think the MF Samyang 14mm F2.8 lens should good to go other wise would be Sigma 10-20 F3.5 DC HSM or Tokina 11-16 F2.8Added on August 20, 2010, 10:54 pm I would categorize 16-30mm is wide range. below than it will be ultra wide lens .. CZ24mm f2 will leave a deep whole in my pocket.. not a good choice then at least for me .. haha .. |

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Aug 20 2010, 11:05 PM) I want to let go my cz1680 and opt for wide angle prime lens .. maybe sigma 30mm f1.4 would be the choice but I wonder how does it perform compare to cz1680 .. 30mm F1.4 I think quality and sharpness doesn't be as good as CZ 16-80 (Should read the review and compare on it)i am not looking for UWA .. just wide angle around 20-30mm will do .. I think you can go for Sigma 28mm F1.8 or Minolta 20mm/24mm F2.8 if you prefer good resolution + sharpness and low distortion |

I think twin lens is better unless you want to use MF lenses or A-Mount lenses

QUOTE(mastering89 @ Aug 21 2010, 12:11 AM) fansoption : if you want do video + photography, better just take the a580. no need worry about mount adapter (converter) anymore yeah if not rushing on video should be much prefer to wait the A7xx for better upgrade !! Since A580 quite like the A550 just add on movie mode and some extra small featuresThis post has been edited by wingster: Aug 21 2010, 12:19 AM |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Aug 23 2010, 01:32 AM) A550 For SURE!!! If you patient enough ... could go for the new A550 successor : A560, A580 or the slightly compact DSLR sizes A33, A55Better LCD, Better Sensor, Better Noise Control, Better Grip design, Better Speed(very responsive), Better Battery Life(~950Shots compared to ~500 shots), Better better better... Shutter Priority mode (7fps) or just 5fps burst mode. The speed is totally "uncatchable" by a390. MF Live View~ The handy grip~ The weight~ I wish to own one... Hahahaha...... |

QUOTE(cplow1 @ Aug 23 2010, 09:54 AM) yes, perfectly calibrated. is it because of the creative style? Then wait for A580 so that you can "lansi" back him with movie mode + 7 fps continuous AF combo xDanyway A550 LCD is much better than my A200...A LOT... ish my fat bro keep lansi his A550 in front of me...gear head.... Just kidding ... This post has been edited by wingster: Aug 23 2010, 09:59 AM |

QUOTE(cplow1 @ Aug 23 2010, 10:26 AM) we are not jeleous..you gear head! You should proud that A200 CCD sensor produce good resolution on low ISO compare to the A550 ...you are just lucky coz u can start with a very good camera. Yeah you are now a A550 user but it doesn't mean you are a good in taking nice photo. you still have long way to go...don;t get so cocky. i bet most of the ppl here have better gear than you! |

QUOTE(lwliam @ Aug 24 2010, 01:03 PM) everyone, throw away your current gear and buy buy BUY the new alphas NAO!!! So cheap, so geng.. 10fps.. Video AF.. Go place your orders this instant. Free built in flash for you. But the A560/A580 were not so impressive =/ remain the same shutter speed however it offer ISO100-12800 + 25600 (JPEG) combo, panorama and movie mode (:A33/A55 really kicks the Pana G-Series out painfully >.< |

QUOTE(zstan @ Aug 24 2010, 01:19 PM) i agreee, apart from the full HD movie mode. But 1 draw back ... Still NO MANUAL CONTROL on Movie mode(Which is all the rivals HAS it) ... =.= for hybrid video/photographers is still a little frustration but at least it let more room for some other controlbut still, its a big jump from my a300. the a55 is impressiveeeeeeeeeeeee |

QUOTE(zstan @ Aug 24 2010, 03:05 PM) but no real mechanical shutter sound wor...will stim? I cannot imagine on future A7x and even the FF A8x/A9x? with 10 FPS and tons of features .... but still hope they develop the manual control on video features for at least their semi-pro camera which can give more freedom of filming while snapping photograph xD (As myself need a handycam hybrid....)Added on August 24, 2010, 3:06 pm nice tones~ but if the model closes her mouth fully it might be better |
