I just tried my Celcom Prepaid broadband with my D-LINK DWM-152 modem and all the misbehavings before (slow, frequent disconnect, data stalls) seem to be very minimal when compared to when I use it with any of my Huawei modems. Speed quite good too. From horrible it becomes bearable.

Anyone else using their Celcom SIM with a D-Link modem?

this is my usage when im using my postpaid line, not prepaid bb. prepaid bb cant see the usage details, but if ure one postpaid and subscribe weekly bb, then u can see the usage. but the problem is speed only 1mbps/512kbps for postpaid+weely bb while prepaid bb is 1.5mb/0.5mb.

Attached Image

as u can see, it state 64kbps but im still getting 1mbps speed after that.

Perhaps. I have two Huawei modems that I tested with the Celcom Sim and I had the usual - stalls, slow, disconnects. Turned 180 degrees with the D-Link.

Never used D-Link USB modem. It good to know D-Link modem quality as good as big name Novatel, Sierra, Options.

I can get full speed with just 1 bar surfing on the bed with option luxury (die already) and Novatel USB 3G dongle. Huawei E1552 not detect Celcom 3G indoor.

currently not have idea what is subspeed mean.. i think, when subspeed occur, will be enjoy your subscription speed.. sometime it will show your quota usage.. maybe at that time the quota shown, you will be throttled if exceed usage.
since my bill cycle is on 28th, i'll use all available quota tonight (currently 4.15/5), and will see what happen...
Maybe celcom will implementing something like, quota only will be count on the day or weekday.. and you will have unlimited usage at night / weekend.. i dont know.. just guess..tongue.gif wait and look and see

you can refer the speedtest in previous post for prepaid broadband. it up to 1.5mbps download and 512kbps upload. but what u can do.. is exactly test it first.. different area will give different result... maybe u need to do some research about prepaid internet at your place.. celcom, maxis, digi and umobile...
