hey guys, wanna ask something..
i subscribed to celcom rm48 broadband with upfront rm100 payment on 21st april, and recently i got the bill for may.. the problem is, in the bill, it stated that i've been charged rm48 a month (and also some prorata), in the contrary, when i subscribed the broadband at lowyat.net (they have a promotion there), they say i will get rm10 rebate for 6 months, but i'm still being charged rm48.. what do i have to do now? call 1111? |

QUOTE(WanR @ Apr 19 2011, 03:02 PM) alfred, check yoir IP, if you get 203.82.66.xxx you will be slow forever, try to test with other celcom user same place same time same modem.... Looks like all prepaid stuck on that ip...pfftt....and of course you the only one because only u stuck wit that IP... QUOTE(tai_digidestany @ Apr 27 2011, 08:06 AM) I'm using Celcom Broadband Weekly RM18/week and my speed right now is also nearly 1.5 Mbps = 184 KBps. Tried to resubscribe celcom weekly to see if your claim is real for me, sadly enough the service is the same as before I abandon them, and its even worst than a capped Maxis. And always, prepaid users who langgan for celcom and digi broadband tak da pun kena trottle. Unlike Maxis (Hotlink) and U-Mobile prepaid internet users. [attachmentid=2199511] Cannot complete http://www.speedtest.net/, but I manage to complete Celcom http://speedosh [attachmentid=2199567] This result is probably because of the congested line, but whats the point if I need stay up late or wake up early just to get a decent surfing experience? Will do the test again around tonight and early morning tomorrow just to see if its true about those 1.5mbps thing. |

now, im using weekly broadband using my postpaid line (want to full utilize my commitment - P48) i think network congest now, in my place, there only celcom and digi 3G ISP, no other ISP, no P1, No yes, No Maxis 3g, No TM fixed line and of course no unifi! ![]() ![]() can get up to 1mbps only not 1.5mbps. [attachmentid=2201087] ![]() ![]() Not very pretty eh...looks like whoever stuck with 203.82.66.xx would think thrice before they even try using celcom broadband service. |

Getting another round of test, lets see if anybody woken up yet -
[attachmentid=2201170] ![]() ![]() This is a really good result and proof that celcom has upgraded the connection speed, this I applaud. However, such speed can only be attained when there's practically nobody else on the line as the speed could easily plumbed down onto its knee. if you test again in normal hour, i will be back to suck, believe me.. the good idea if you want to use daily or weekly bb from celcom, u need to buy their prepaid bb pack or subscribe using postpaid line. if you're in prepaid pack (xpax, blue, etc) will get .66 IP.

Yeah, I think its because the majority used a prepaid pack and cause the line to easily congested.Merely testing things out after a few month of dropping celcom, looks like I won't be returning back to them for the time being. |

i just checked the celcom online customer service for FUP data usage. celcom over-read my data usage by 0.2 GB (my cap limit is 1 GB). my current usage as checked on my iphone (incoming & outgoing data) is about 0.4GB but celcom reports 0.6GB.
the celcom rep can't settle my problem. he asks me to remove & insert SIM card again |
