During that rare moment when my desire got hold of my better judgement, I signed up for Celcom BB yesterday during their roadshow at LYP. Was seduced by the free E173 modem. While I understand that there is a 7 day trial period, and there is NO contract, I have a few questions:

1) If I terminate AFTER the 7 day period, is there a termination fee?
2) If the answer to 1 above is yes, how much is it?
3) For how long do I have to remain with Celcom BB before the termination fee no longer applies?

Thanks!

Thanks sheyey and skeleton123. Decided to terminate day before, within the 7 days trial period. They say they will take 3-4 months to mail me the RM50 deposit cheque. sad.gif

Dia suruh tukar la tu...ahaha.

BTW I got question:

I signed up for Celcom BB when they had that fair at LYP. I paid RM 50 deposit. After 4 days I returned the modem and terminated at Celcom Jalan Pahang.

Now the cheque has come for RM 90. Now I know the lot of you will say just take it la, but I have no intention of taking what doesn't belong to me. Should I give back the RM 40 to the dealer or straight to Celcom?

I just tried my Celcom Prepaid broadband with my D-LINK DWM-152 modem and all the misbehavings before (slow, frequent disconnect, data stalls) seem to be very minimal when compared to when I use it with any of my Huawei modems. Speed quite good too. From horrible it becomes bearable.

Anyone else using their Celcom SIM with a D-Link modem?

meaning D-LINK DWM-152 is better than huawei USB modem ?

Perhaps. I have two Huawei modems that I tested with the Celcom Sim and I had the usual - stalls, slow, disconnects. Turned 180 degrees with the D-Link.

Nope. Was able to get 1.5Mbps before. Ever since they rebranded to this Instanet, it's capped according to the new scheme. Which is sad. 1GB for one week? Before it was 2GB!
