heh, compare to u guys experience, what i have been through from friday is a walk in the park.

friday morning.
i left my pc with internet connection on because i am doing the folding project. came back around noon see the connection dced. tried reconnecting, manage to connect but cannot browse. called celcom center and they say network problem, please try again later to see if can connect or not.

friday afternoon.
around 5 pm i tried again still no luck in connecting. open up fire fox and i got a weird error msg that says my credit has expired or run put.please reload to continue to use xpax. i thought my line expired already so i went out buy rm100 reload.

friday evening
reload the rm100 then check the balance is rm00.27. called the center again and they say in the system got record i reload rm100 but maybe the other system not updated. they ask me to check  it on saturday morning. so now i have 2 problems. 1st is internet cannot browse and that weird message. 2nd is my lost rm100. called center again because the customer service guy didnt address my broadband issue. i was passed to the broadband section and followed all the instruction that was given including restarting my pc 2 times and some weird stuff i dont see relevant to my problem. still no connection.

saturday morning 530am.
tried my internet connection again and still cannot browse and the error message still pops up.my balance also is still at rm00.27. called the center again still they cannot pinpoint what is my trouble.

1pm saturday.

finally i had enough and i called the center again and was quickly pass to i think a higher rank technician coz she was very quick in finding what happen to my account. it seems that somehow the celcom server terminated my weekly plan and started to charge me rm0.10/kb form 10pm friday morning. and when i reloaded the rm100 it just continued to eat my credit. the server actually finish rm100 worth of credit in 5 minutes. so now i am stuck with a line which i cant reload coz everytime i reload it will suck my credit dry and they say it will take 3-5 days of working days to settle my problem.

i am going to fucuk who ever calls me from celcom and demand my 5 days of internet back.
*
Same thing happen to me & also my friends but it was long time ago.....

Luckily i don't topup coz i afraid that their system is crap...

Call the center & it's seems they can't solve the problem so i just leave it be
coz at that time only 1 day remaining before my broadband expired.

Maybe due to their crappy system... shakehead.gif

Hi, I have a question. For the limited 1G monthly package, is it the upload or download capacity? And how do we track this, something like how many quota left for the month? Thanks

yes.. that is common problem.. i dont know what is the problem.. whether the hire stupid IT personnel or they just use pentium 3 server to handle OCS.. or maybe they use their self broadband for OCS?.. haha. their OCS system just shows and prove of stupidity.

this message come from the smartest one.. so?..

for human nature,
both upload and download count is 1GB quota.. how to check? their OCS (which is defined as stupid above) or just call 1111 and ask for broadband department to check.

actually i used to 'tak sengaja' subscribe monthly plan before on my prepaid bb.. because of it appear in *118# menu. maybe in april~may.. but it only appear for 2-3days i think. after it disappear, i try to sms 'broadband monthly' and got reply RM50 for 30days access even the package not listing in menu. when i confirmed, yes.. get 30days access.. i dont know now can or cannot.. or all prepaid bb will become instanet.. monthly RM50 no longer relevant with me because im now on RM48 package..(advance - 3.6mbps - 5GB)

Is it me or is it Celcom Broadband Prepaid Pack is becoming quite hard to cari?

From the news, Celcom CEO announced that they will launch two new products in next two weeks.

Does this mean that one of it will be a new broadband prepaid simpack?

I better get the current one before no more.

My friend try to find it througout the Kuching city including Blue Cube and most of them is out of stock.

Luckily i have bought mine few weeks back because the speed for Celcom Prepaid Broadband senyap-senyap Celcom upgrade to 1.8Mbps.
And this new package called Instanet speed 512Kbps only.
The question is, with the old plan eventhough it state that got cap 2GB/week for RM18, but i still download macam orang gila punya laju.
Thus raise the question of this new plan of Instanet actually can cap and block the internet usage once it reach 1GB/week = RM15.
Maxis too have a prepaid broadband and yet, they can block and stop the data transfer; i.e internet surfing; once you reach the allocated quota.

And yet, Celcom says that once you reach your quota, you can buy additional quota, thus raising a probability that Instanet have the capability to track down your usage.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Volume Quota Validity Price
Daily 500MB 24 hours RM 5
Weekly 1.0GB 7 days RM 18
Monthly 1.5 GB 30 days RM 50 (Promo: RM30)

To increase the volume quota, user can purchase additional 1GB for RM 15 or 5GB for RM50.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

And here's the best part, they also provide Instanet Pack + bundle with modem which i suspect is Huawei modem; i do not know whether it is HSDPA or HSPA capability model. Later on next week I'll check at Blue Cube since it will come to Sarawak a week later after the launch.

And if it is closed-sim modem; only receives Celcom line, i can crack it to be an open sim. A modem which actually cost RM108.
Now, that's a total bargain. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Hey all, WTA

To subscribe to Celcom prepaid broadband, do I need to purchase a HSDPA USB modem.

I have a conventional Broadband modem(last time use for streamyx) for my PC. Can I use that? thx notworthy.gif

the modem is vodafone, huawei or zte
Instanet USB Stick specification (K3565, K3565-Z, K3520)
Huawei E169 = Vodafone K3520
Huawei E160X= Vodafone K3565
ZTE K3565-Z (Vodafone)

@ alvinfks78
U need 3G broadband modem not stimmix or p1 broadband modem.

Heh, seems like postpaid cannot use 'broadband monthly', I tried.
Anyhow, it seems weekly bb for postpaid are capped now. The youtube speed is slowed to around 200-300kbs. Regular website still open at 1.0mbs, well its fast enough for surfing.

And that's the only difference dude.
Is it cheaper? More bandwidth? Higher capped speed? Stable speed? Better coverage?
